Do i really need to bring two extra pictures at interview?

interview is coming up and on the "must bring" list there is also a note "bring two passport sizes pictures";

is that really necessary? or can i save $10.00?

If you have Costco membership - they only cost $4.50 (if I remember correctly but not more than $5 for sure).

But ask yourself one question - would you rather spend the $10 or possibly go through headaches and long waiting periods since you didn't bring what they asked for???

Odds are they may not even ask for them when you go to your interview.... but it is better to be prepared...

Is saving $10.00 worth the embassy telling you to come back with the photos and delaying your visa? Bring them. They need the photos for your visa page in your passport.

Worst case scenario, you can use the pictures for the passport application.

Was just gonna reply to this thread with that link until I saw your post!

I used this website to make my own photos (completely free!) for my CR-1 process. Used 'em at NVC, the medical, and for the interview. All accepted with no problems and saved me like $50.

Somebody mentioned embassy, you are in the USA, correct? And didn't they take your photo at your biometrics? Again field office dependent, over 80 of those, some give the choice of using your own photo, St. Paul, ours, did not, but used the one supplied by biometrics. Its more convenient for them.

Did toss in a couple of photos for my two gals, never was used or asked for, was suggested you bring them, just in case the USCIS lost them, but they didn't. Didn't you already mail in two photos with your application? That is the requirement, even though they may never use them, but will use your biometrics photo instead.
