Still no Noa 1

Hi all.

We filed AOS August 25 2011, and still haven't heard anything at all. No Noa1. Is it normal that it takes this long to get the first NOA?

or should we just still patiently wait...?

I Filed my AOS on 07 Sept , UCIS received my case on 09 Sept. i received a text and email NOA1 notification on 12 Sept. I received the hard copy in the mail on 14 Sept . Good luck guys . Basically mine took 1 week .

okay, we are getting worried now. Still no notification in the email or mail. It should have been sent to us by now. It's weird that everybody else gets their NOA, when we don't hear anything after they cashed the check.

is there a phonenumber to the place, so we can hear what is going on with our case ?

It's only been 7 business days since they cashed the check. I wouldn't worry. You don't need the NOA1 for anything, and the fact that they cashed the check means that they accepted it for review. You can try to look on the cashed check through your bank and see if there is a tracking number on it, It begins with MSC (maybe on the back of the cancelled check).

okay, just find it weird that it takes this long for us, when someone else can get the noa1 in the mail a week after they sent it to USCIS. It's almost a month ago, that they got it.

But okay, we will still keep waiting Patiently for the noa1.

We are still waiting. haven't heard one single word yet about our package (from uscis). Find it a bit weird, and sounds like there is something wrong with our case, when we don't hear anything, but they have cashed the check.

My I-94 is expiring on oct 5, but i guess there are no problem, when we are married as we were supposed to ?

Really want that NOA1, so we actually can see that something is happening.

Have you looked on the back of the cancelled check and see if there is a case number on it? It begins with MSC. Now it's been long enough I'd say the NOA1 is lost in the mail, but since your check was cashed things are moving forward. I'd try to get your case number off of the check or call them and report a lost NOA1. You don't need the NOA1 for anything, but it's good to know that mail is able to get to you. Make sure your name is on the mailbox or talk to your mail carrier to see if there is any reason s/he wouldn't deliver mail to you (like name not on mailbox or something).

You are able to stay in the country, and should stay, or you will have to start all over with a spousal visa.

Your bank has an image of the check, from when it was cashed. Some people have had success looking at images of their cancelled checks online and finding the case number. I'd start with online banking and seeing if they hold the image there.

Did you signed up for email and text alerts ? If you did you will receive text and email messages about your case . Some people have received text alerts and NO hard copy of NOA1 . If after 30 days and you do not hear anything --you are allowed to call for an update on your case . Good luck .

Away to see if your check was cashed is if you check online from your bank and see if the money was pulled out. Honestly, Id just call the bank and find out. I sent a cashiers check and I called them. The check was cashed on the 20th, and my NOA date was on the 20th, it might be different though. My sister and I filed on the same day, our checks (cashiers) were cashed on the same day but her NOA was the 19th and mine the 20th.

the check is cashed (more than 3 weeks ago), we are just wondering where the NOA are

we will try the phonenumber above to hear about our case, and why it's taking this long.

I thnk they are going to tell you to call in another week, since they say you need to call within a month if you haven't heard anything but try! That is really weird??
