Dublin IS A POE....SERIOUSLY?

So ive been told an read, dublin is a POE, an i can get interview an hand in my mystery envelope there, an have no drama as i enter the usa, as ive cleared the POE in dublin, is this really true, i can fly via dublin, get sorted and not have hassle or deal with CBP in the USA, i was stunned when i read this,

THAT IS, JUST, AWESOME, so when i get off plane id go through the ''US CITIZENS AN PERMANENT RESIDENTS'' LINE instead of foreign nationals, as ive cleared CBP already with the permanent resident visa, or am i wrong on that?

When you get off the plane, you wouldn't go through any inspection lines as that would have already been done in Dublin. You get off the plane and go collect your luggage; if you only have a carry-on, then you go to the exit.

ye but when you arrive in any airport in any us city an get of plane, you go through CBP, its the first thing you do in any airport in the world, for example, Atalanta has 2 lines, one for us citizens an permanent citizens, one for foreign nationals, ya no what i mean they check ur passport etc, which line would i wander to as ive cleared cbp in dublin, this is rather exciting i can go via dublin an get tha hard part over with there

If your doing from Dublin to Heathrow to USA wouldn't you pass US customs in Heathrow not Dublin?

When you have gone through a CBP preclearance facility, all procedures will have already been done. The flight itself will arrive at a DOMESTIC terminal; there will be no CBP inspection on flight that originates from a terminal where a preclearance facility was used as such procedures will have already been completed.

CBP does not have a preclearance facility at Heathrow.

You would have to be travelling from Dublin directly to the US for CBP pre clearance. Dublin> Heathrow > US would not do CBP in Dublin.

well, theres a flight from dublin to NY, NY to austin, thats direct so id deal with it all in dublin first then right?

Yes, if you fly from Dublin to NY. CBP procedures can be handled at the preclearance facility in Dublin. Your arrival in NY would be at a domestic terminal where you would go straight to your connecting flight without having to deal with CBP procedures again.
