Hi folks,

Hope everyone's doing well, a quick update. I did my biometrics at Van Nuys ASC in CA on 10/25, I didn't attempt to do an early walk-in. The ASC is on the second floor of the building, there was some 2-hour street parking available. There were quite a number of people in the waiting area just outside of the reception, not sure why they were not sent to the larger waiting section past the reception. There were maybe a total of 6 people when I arrived, but I still waited for almost 40 minutes. Not sure what else this ASC handles, but it seems that a lot of the people were having long conversations with the officers taking their biometrics, I noticed one lady had her photo taken multiple times. Overall the experience was not too bad, except having my fingers twisted many times and being told that my prints were not very clear :)

I also got a stamp in my passport, as I noted a few weeks ago, I received two NOA 1 notices, with different receipt numbers, different time stamp and on the same day. At the InfoPass appointment, I was told by the officer that they have never seen this before (scary) and the system had two applications and two payments under my name (scarier). They could not cancel one of the applications, nor did I want them to, so I ended up getting the stamp so there wouldn't be any confusion at POE since I plan to travel.

Cheers

JJ

thanks for Sharing JJ, best of luck :)

Checked the mail today and there was a notice from USCIS. My heart sank.. the letter was really thick and i figured it was an RFE. Tore it open after a few moments of trying to let my heart settle and turns out it was just my reminder notice! lol.. sure enough they sent it to the old address and resent it to the new one but put the whole envelope and everything in it too.

There are people still waiting from March and April for approvals. I doubt there will be approvals for September anytime soon.

I noticed the same thing. May/June approvals are slowly trickling in.

My guess for the September approvals, waiting period, will probably take from 1.5 to 4 months, from now onwards.
