You can book whatever flight you want.

If you book a round trip make sure to cancel the return ticket once the beneficiary arrives in the USA.

Hi Vj,

I just want to know if and when visa is approved, are we beneficiary of K1 visa required to book a round trip ticket or just one- way? Is it ok for the petitioner to book the flight in behalf of the beneficiary? - Thnx

No you are not required to book a round trip, however, sometimes a round trip ticket is cheaper than a one way.

+1

Also, if you decide to buy the ticket for her and you pay with a credit card online then they usually insist that the credit card be presented at the the time the passenger checks in for boarding. Obviously, this would be impossible if you're in the US and she's in the Philippines. In that event, wire her the money so she can buy the ticket there. She might even be able to buy it for less than you could in the US.

Check with the airline. I bought my wife's ticket online with my Visa card, and I was told clearly that the actual physical card had to be presented at check-in. Fortunately, I was in Vietnam with my wife and traveling to the US with her, so it wasn't a problem. And they DID insist on seeing the card when we checked in.

Hi Rencor yes you will need the photocopy of the visa card that he was using when he bought online and his valid ID scanned, as the airport staff will ask it. God Speed.
