I received my I-797 approval notice for k1 visa. The letter said that the visa petition was sent to the NVC. my fiancee lives in Germany and her consulate is Frankfurt. Should I be sending forms to Frankfurt or will we receive instructions in the mail? I have not received anything from the NVC yet with a case number. Should I wait for that? I need to know what to do next. I do not want to slow down the process by not sending something that I should be sending now. Can someone tell me what I should do next, or if I should just wait?

I have even tried calling the consulate in Frankfurt and can not seem to get anyone on the phone that can provide information. I keep getting sent to voicemails or am told to call back.

Thanks!

Mike

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Ok thanks, i will phone them. Did you receive any instructions from the consulate on what to do next regarding the interview and any forms that needed to be filled out? Any instructions regarding payment for the interview/medical exam?

Just trying to figure out if you received any instructions at all?

Not sure what I should do next?

Our P3 and instructions are available on our US embassys website, have to check the one you will interview at, most people in Canada get them from there. They have an online payment system for paying and the interview letter is emailed to us.

For the medical we have to pay at the medical place after we have our medical, pick it up a few days after and bring it to the interview with us unless you want 50$ for them to send it (rip off!)

Tony (the USC) received the NVC letter with the case number on it (this is what is SUPPOSED to happen, don't know why Inky didn't).

It totally depends on country but your fiancee will eventually need a completed I-134 (or I-864.. some countries require this but for K1 it's supposed to be the i-134) as well as a letter from your employer and bank, and also tax transcripts (or tax returns and your W2 and other schedules etc). She will have to get a police check done and also a medical. In Australia we can get the police check before having the case number, and some states also permit a medical without the case number.

She will also need proof of relationship evidence so if some of that you need to send to her then yeah you could send it now.

A letter from my bank?

Yes. If you read the I-134 instructions you are required to send a letter from your bank stating how long you've had the account, and some other info.

Yes. If you read the I-134 instructions you are required to send a letter from your bank stating how long you've had the account, and some other info.

Only if you are using bank info to meet the % of the guidelines. If you are not then you don't need bank letters.

Depends on how you read the I-134 instructions. It says "Evidence should consist of anything below that applies to your situation". I take that to mean if you have a bank account, if you are employed or self-employed then you should provide evidence of such. We sent the employer letter and bank letter. my K1 interview went for maybe 5 minutes, I received no RFE's. I also received no RFE's at the AOS stage and was approved without interview. I must have done something right.

We included nothing but employment pay stubs and tax returns.

Was never asked for bank information or anything else was approved same day of interview had no RFEs or hang ups.

AOS was approved without RFE and without interview.
