We are also in AP in Casablanca, Morocco. My fiance was interviewed in June 30, 2011. I've being calling and emailing the consulate to check our case status, but all they say is that it's pending AP which means they haven't got started on this AP.

Sorry to hear that, and sorry to go slightly off topic. But can I ask, what are the reasons the put people in AP and is it every case? And what exactly is it?

My fiancee had her interview in Guangzhou on 07/20 and received AP. Two emails to the

consulate and repeated calls to the DOS were no help in trying to find out why.

Eventually she received a call back letter to go back to Guangzhou on 08/10. She

received her visa in the mail on 08/27.

My fiancée was interviewed at USE, Frankfurt last Wednesday and the officer put her on pending to find out why her first K-1 visa application at USE, Addis Ababa was denied. She received a green paper which says "Your visa is on pending" and phone # to call if they don't respond quickly. I called the Embassy today (costs € 15.00) and they told me, they are waiting for a respond for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I told the visa specialist that they can check it from DOS and she said an officer is working on it. Right away I sent an email to the USE, Addis Ababa and they email me back saying, since it is been a year my fiancée was interviewed, It might take sometime to locate the file and they will respond as quickly as possible, I haven’t called DOS yet.

Good Luck
