As for my "new" name.....

PlatyPius (Officially, Pope PlatyPius LXIX) started out as a joke. I've always been fascinated with platypi, and on a whim bought Platypi.us. After buying the domain, I noticed that it looked like a Pope name.... Platy Pious. So, I put a spoof site there - a campaign site for Platy Pius, who was running for Pope in 2004. It later became a rant site....with some very, very rancid rants....before being killed off 2 years later. I needed a new screen name on another site, so I became PlatyPius. Later, PlatyPius was made infamous by a cartoon started by a member of that site. http://redcedars.net/arcey_0002.htm

("Mousies" are the same as trolls....TCC just preferred the term Mousie. It's a long, long story)

As you can probably tell from the cartoons, Platy was the enforcer (I was a moderator at TCC) - the misanthropical #######.

Shortly after Sian and I got together, I killed Platy off. I was too happy to need an evil alter-ego. Then I came to VJ. After getting told I was arrogant, rude, a jackass, etc, etc. I said "** it!" and resurrected Platy. As such, don't count on any kind of helpful replies to questions from Platy. Do expect comments spoken with brutal honesty.

It's from a song (from a musical called Children of Eden, a retelling of Genesis), and I use it on a few other sites as well. It's my most "public" SN, the one that would probably be easiest to connect to me (or at least, to the other sites that use it). I also have one I use that's meant to be less traceable, and one that I use only on MySpace so people who find me there can't find my blog or what I've posted here.
