Hello!

I'm so happy for you guys! :jest:

Did you ask for an expedite?

Right now we are waiting for our case number and we're gonna try to fill the I-864 as soon as possible. My husband is currently in the military and getting out in mid-November, and when we called NVC to ask we've been told that what matters is the employment at the time of filing. So we are gonna try that... Otherwise we will have to wait till he finds a job! It's not so easy with this economy...

Take care of yourself and keep me updated :)

Thanks for your good wishes. We went through VSC and didn't ask for an expedite, and are thankful that stage one is now complete. I totally understand what you mean about the economy (not that it's much better here in the UK.) My husband is currently in law school, so is not working but we do have a joint sponsor lined up and I keep hoping and praying that everything will go smoothly. There seems to be an enormous amount of paperwork to be completed for the next stage. It's just so hard being apart from him and I miss him so much! My thoughts are with you guys and I hope that your husband will find work soon. Let me know how you guys are getting on and take care!

Congratulations on your petition approval. Hope the rest of this process goes quickly and smoothly for you... and the rest of us August filers! :)

Thanks. I hope that things go well for all of us August filers and I'm so glad we have VJ to support each other. Let me know how you get on and feel free to ask me any questions.

We asked for an expedite but we got our I-130 approved before the expedite was approved. So no, we were not expedited.

Yes we were calling often. Once while talking to them on the phone my husband filed for expedite. I'm not sure about what i'm about to say, but i think the fact we were calling often, husband called to change his address, and then asking for expedite.. it maybe got our file to move around and get on top of the pile?? I don't know ... that or the fact we both have jobs which require high security clearances, which makes a background check fast and easy to do.

No we did NOT ask for an expedite. I think you may have got us confused with Marie and Sam.

I sent mine off Aug 1st! Got a text and email on Aug 5th saying it is being routed to CSC for processing and I should receive official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) in 7-10 days... Is that the same thing as NOA1??

Wow, that was so quick! You got a NOA2 already. Good for you! :)

Guys, I'm really really sorry I repeatedly posted the same messages. This is my first time to join in a forum and my internet connection is poor right now. Anyway, hoping for a speedy processing for us all! :)
