Hi

Im an august filer too.It seems that english speaking countries with strong ties to U.S. get done quicker. Also those with spouse in Phils may get a little more scrutiny than others..also if petitioner is in the military that would be an easy background check..they are getting the easy ones out of the way while others take more time..just my thoughts..hope it comes soon..good luck

You have a point there. :)

Hi all, hows it going in here? Hope everyone stays rad.

I have a question, while our CR-1 is pending I can't travel to the US. Soon though I'll be taking a business trip to Canada. I assume that's allowed ;)

But what will happen in the, of course very, very unlikely event that we need to make a pit-stop on American soil, due for example bad flight weather? I'm just curious. Hope someone knows more about this.

Thanks.

If that very, very unlikely event ever happens, you might probably be stuck at the airport or be accommodated at the airport's hotel. I think you can't go farther than that, unless of course if you have been issued a tourist visa before you filed for CR-1, then you may go around and enjoy the US. :)

Thank you Swingman :)

How is that for countries with a Visa Waiver?

Hi! I think you can go read this thread for more questions about visa waiver program.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/267936-spouse-enter-us-on-visa-waiver-while-waiting-on-i-130/

Although there's not much said in it. But at least you can get an idea. :)

I've read another thread that Visa Waiver Program works like a tourist visa. "The visa waiver program is not designed to allow people to enter and adjust status. It is for nonimmigrant purposes only."

Hi all! My name is Nicci. :) We are august filer too, but under K1/K2 visa category. We received our NOA2 after 21 days, no request to expedite we just got approved, and got our case number suprisingly fast. Done with medical and interview, but our case in under AR for my CENOMAR re-verification (certificate of no marriage) because of my children, using their father's last name. My CO had doubt about my singleness and thinking I am or was married to my ex so he put me on AR to re-verify my legal status. Sent Cenomar re-verification request 2 days ago and now waiting for the IMVU email/call for our visa approval.

Wishing everyones fast approval and smooth medical and interview!
