Hello everyone!

Me and my husband are going on holidays next week. My AOS is approved, my GC was received. My Slovene passport has my maiden name only, my GC has my maiden and my husband's last name, my plane ticket has my husband's last name only. Which documents should I carry with me? Am I good to go?

You need all the documents with you, but I believe your ticket has to match your passport - so, if your ticket is on your husband's last name but your passport is with your maiden name, you'll run into problems because of that. I am not sure what the procedure is with changing the name on your ticket, but I don't think they will let you board the plane if your name does not match on your ticket and passport..

05/12/2011 - Day 70 - EAD Arrived, issued on 05/02

06/14/2011 - Day 103 - E-mail notice: Interview letter mailed, interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2011 - Day 139 - Interview at Federal Plaza USCIS location

07/22/2011 - Day 141 - E-mail approval notice received (Card production)

07/27/2011 - Day 146 - 2nd Card Production Email received

07/28/2011 - Day 147 - Post-Decision Activity Email from USCIS

08/04/2011 - Day 154 - Husband returns home from abroad; Welcome Letter and GC have arrived in the mail

("Resident since" date on the GC is 07/20/2011

Bring your marriage certificate. We have traveled internationally with tickets that were in the new married name, not the old passport name, and they just needed to see the marriage certificate.

If you travel inside the U.S., you don't need a passport and you don't need a Green Card. You need any state or government issued photo ID. If you don't have a Milwaukee driver's license or ID card yet, the name on your ticket needs to match the name on whatever ID you choose to show them.
