We sent out I-129F 7/15/11, check cashed 7/21/11, signature returned from postal certification 7/22/11 saying they received 7/18/11. I have not received a text, an email, or any mail through the postal service notifying us that they have got our petition package. I noticed on here everyone is saying they heard back in 6 days (or a bit more or less). Should I be worried? I found something saying there might be an issue with receiving text notification and emailed the lockbox but then got back an email this am saying that they are concerned with that because they are not aware of any issues. I will try to find the link and post to this thread if anyone is interested. I just wondered if anyone else had received or was not hearing back yet who filed around the same time? Sorry, just super worried I didn't do this right.

8/10/11 STILL NO NOA1!

8/12/11 Called USCIS to get receipt number-NOA1 will be resent

8/16/11 Received NOA1 with date of 7/20/11

1/3/12 NOA2!!!

My thought is this....if they cashed your check, then they have it. I wouldn't worry. :)

I honestly didn't know you could get a text or email when they receive the petition package! I mailed my I-129F April 29th and saw that the check had been cashed soon thereafer. I got the little green card back with the stamp on it showing they received it on May 3rd. My NOA1 is dated May 5th and I got it in the mail a few days later verifying that it has been received and is in process. I imagine you will get yours soon though you are involved with a different country. Either way, not getting a text or email is nothing to worry about!

We are coming up to 3 weeks (Friday-2days from now) with no NOA1. I am not questioning whether they received it or not. Obviously they have. I am concerned primarily because I use a post office box for mail. If they mail anything to my home address I won't receive it. I've done a bit of research on this and I haven't found anything that would indicate USCIS having a problem with sending mail to a PO Box. If you haven't received anything yet, I would suggest calling them. I found them to be quite helpful when I had to call them once. Your lack of receiving anything could be an indication that they attempted to send mail to your home address in spite of you requesting otherwise. In any case, you haven't received a denial either so that's good news. Chances are, everything is being processed, but they are having difficulty reaching you to advise you of the progress. The good thing is that once you get the NOA1, you can use the receipt number to register your case on their website and sign up for automatic updates. I hope you find out soon!

I just called USCIS and was told that they would look me up after 30 days from the date I filed. Will keep the thread updated as I find out more. We are currently at 20 days so I may be worried for nothing yet but most others who filed around the date we did looks to have received theirs.

Alright. It could just be a technicality, but it sounds like you will get some answers soon. Hopefully it's just a mailing issue and they will have already assigned a receipt number and everything. Let us know!
