Hello my July Filers fellows,

I just wanted to share with you all that I was able to expedite my EAD by requesting the help of my husband's Congressman. It was a smooth and EFFECTIVE process...Please see my post in another thread if you want to know more or find yourself in a similar situation (click on link below).

Anyone who has questions is very welcome to contact me :innocent:

My EAD Story

I hope not to get replies telling me "to wait for my turn" or other unpleasant responses...I simply posted my story because I wanted to help others, as I was myself helped by another VJ fellow...

Good luck to everyone :star:

Hi luis&susy and YAS8MIKE,

Congrats on the EAD card production! I saw on your timelines that you received your interview notice before getting an update on your EAD. We are in the same boat. Did you get a "touch" on your case after doing biometrics or some type of e-mail/text? My husband's I-765 case is still in "intial review" stage...

Our timeline:

(Husband adjusting from B2)

05/25/11 - got married <3

07/21/11 - sent AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765)

07/26/11 - received NOA's through text, e-mail

07/26/11 - checks cashed

07/30/11- received official NOA's in the mail dated as 07-25-11

08/05/11 - received biometrics appointment letter for 08-29-11

08/19/11 - successful walk-in biometrics!

08/31/11 -text/email notice that interview notice was sent!

09/01/11 - received official interview notice for OCT 5, 2011 in San Francisco!!! =D

09/26/11 - received text/email notice that EAD card production was ordered...WOOHOO!!!! =D (Day 64)

09/29/11 - duplicate text/email notice for EAD card production 9.29.11

09/30/11 - received text/email notice for EAD Post Decision (approval notice sent for I-765)

10/02/11 - EAD card in mail =)

10/03/11 - applied for SS#

10/05/11 - AOS interview in SF! result was further review but received I-485 CPO status 1 hour later! WOOHOOO =D (Day 73)

...now waiting for SS# and green card...GOD IS SOOO GOOD :)

One thing I noticed too is those that received their EAD are those whose cases "are not" transferred to other USCIS office and received an interview schedule. While those whose cases are transferred to another USCIS office, has no update on their EAD/AP. I dont know how to interpret this, is this a good news or just an isolated issue. That's just my observation.

Dont worry, it's normal, it does that! For instance, my EAD production was ordered last Friday Aug 26th, got an email about that, then the following Monday AND Wednesday, I got an email saying they had EAD production again, THEN an email saying they'd send an approval letter...

Yesterday? The card showed up in the mail via USPS Express :innocent:

From the first approval to the actual receipt of the EAD in th3 card, it was 7 working days (days on which mail is delivered).
