expediting I-765

Hello,

We filed the I-765 along with the I-485 on June 28th.

My wife is working two part time jobs to support us. I have a job offer that will allow me to work as soon as I receive the work authorization card. I explained the situation and sent a letter to my senator requesting to expedite my I-765 with the NOA.

Am I supposed to hear back something from the senator? How does the process work?

Have you thought of making an infopass apt? I'd much rather be proactive in this situation than rely on your senator, who has no vested interest in this

The first step in expediting anything is calling USCIS and requesting it, not asking the senator. The senator will just say, did you try to expedite on your own? Do that first.

5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

I didn't try to make infopass appointment. I did send a letter to USCIS along with my I-765 application explaining why I need it to be expedited. I will call USCIS and see if I can get it expedited. Thank you

What a great wife you have.. working two jobs to support.. Really...

When you write to ur senator, tell him or her that you ur wife voted him/her and that you will also be after getting US citizenship .. Maybe this will help you get your request process faster.
