My last post caused the lock! Oops. Haha. Guess it had to happen. Not sure if anyone even got the chance to catch it, so I will go ahead and copy/paste it... along with my update on the whole situation:

First off, I'd love to congratulate Krystle on her little one!! Glad to hear that you all are doing well. I would LOVE to see pics eventually! I'm sure he's totally adorable!!!

I hope all of your preparations are helpful, Kayla!! I know you want to be a momma, and I pray it all works for you.

Things are going well with everyone else, too, it would seem.... I hate to be the one that drags it all down, but alas....

Things were going super awesome. Matt loves his job and the pay is way better than we could have even imagined. I was actually being optimistic for once, and had even started dieting again - with positive results!!! It was all great....until June 7th. We've been living without power since then because old wiring in our attic decided it didn't like being old anymore, and ignited. Luckily, we were all home at the time and my mom (having the almost paranoid -in a good way- keen sense of smell) got the fire department out here just in time. We didn't lose the house to the fire, but there is a lot of smoke damage and, of course, the lack of electricity, and our hallway/stairway/attic were completely torn out by the fire department. Half hour more, and the house would have been gone. My parents went to the county to try and get some help for the electrical repairs (they certainly don't have it, and neither do Matt and I) and are now trying to raise the necessary funding to coincide with the amount they can help us with. (the bid was $5,100, and they can only give us $1,190...) Matt's family has branched out to all of their friends asking to help, and we've had friends on WoW donate - it's been almost unreal. More strangers have helped us in the past week and a half than some of our own family members. So that's where we stand at this point. We are trying to raise as much as we can by Monday, and the county inspector guy will talk to his supervisor and see if they can't just give us the rest of it. If they can, then the electrical guys will be in on Tuesday to fix it all, but if they can't, work won't start until we raise the rest of the necessary funding. We raised $440 in less than 24 hours, which is definitely helpful, but I doubt we are going to raise the rest, or even break 1k, so we have our fingers crossed that we get that "directors exception" and that they help with the rest of it. We've been without power for 12 days now....and I gotta say - IT SUCKS, lol.

Anyways, sorry to drag you all down, but I was just hoping that in telling you, you all could keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Maybe the more we have, the more likely that good things will happen!

Take care everyone, and I will update you all again soon.

And now... for the update!

We are, unfortunately, still without power (2 weeks and counting now), but we are a bit closer to getting it back. Our family and friends have raised over $1500 now, and we are just waiting to find out if we are going to get the whole "director's exception" for the rest of it. I want to be optimistic and say that we should have power by Sunday evening... buuuut, I'm going to be reasonable and say that we are HOPING to have it back by next Wednesday. I'm getting to a breaking point, though; my boredom is slowly eating away at my mind. I don't really have anything else to do, so I've been playing The Sims whenever we have the power generator up.... but even that is getting boring, lol. Not too much longer, though... hopefully. FINGERS CROSSED! Once the power is back, then we can start repairing all the damage. My mom's room has to be completely gutted and re-done because of all the smoke damage... so things should be interesting for awhile.

Anyways, I hope you all are doing well, and hopefully life's little happenings are staying good for you all!

I have a HUGE smile on my face to see a part 2, I feel like we've reached a milestone. Call me weird and mushy but at first I didn't want to see the other thread closed, it has sentimental value to me...

Now I forgot what to reply to O_o

Kayla, I know this is easier said than done when trying to conceive, but DON'T STRESS. It will get you frustrated, heart broken, tired etc Continue to do fun things, dot do the dirty just to conceive, do it to enjoy it and to be intimate with your husband. Always think that way because if you continue to think you're doing the dirty to conceive, you're going to be disappointed each month that it doesn't happen. I hope I don't sound too harsh but I tried for 8 months and I literally would get depressed when my cycle comes each month.

Soo happy dirty doing :D

Oh and yes, he has a head full of hair! I guess the myth (that if you have a lot of heart burn during pregnancy, the baby has a lot of hair) is true.

I forgot who asked how's Glenoi adjusting. He LOVES Aiden to death! You would think he's the one that gave birth to him. He spoiled him already too, Aiden doesn't sleep for long periods of time at night in the bassinet unless hes on the bed with us, wiggled up under our arm pits. It's amazing how far we put away from us and within seconds he wiggles his butt close to us, lol.

But all in all, Glenoi is very helpful.

Frenzy, my attic too did the same thing 3 years ago and until this day I'm still paranoid every time I hear the smoke detector go off. I low exactly what you're going through and I pray that it will be resolved ASAP! In the mean time just remember your blessings.

I'm trying not to stress too much over it and we're trying to make it as much fun as possible because I don't want to get really depressed when it doesn't happen. It's just hard. The longer it goes, the more I think that when my doctor said it would be almost an impossibility for me to get pregnant she actually meant that it was impossible. Alls I can say for certainty is that Pre-Seed is the ######! I really don't know what I ever did without the stuff.

Frenzy I'm so sorry to hear about what's going on with your house. That kind of thing absolutely terrifies me but I'm glad you have a wonderful group of friends and family that were able to raise the money for you. Hopefully by now you have power and everything has worked out. (L)

It tickles me to death that Glenoi is crazy about the baby. I remember a while back he was acting kind of shaky about it, but it's true when they say that women are mommies when they get pregnant but men don't become dads until they see their childs face. Besides, how could you not love and want to snuggle that beautiful little guy 24/7? I swear, you did such a good job on making Aiden. He'll be a heartbreaker. :luv: :luv: :luv: :luv:

I've learned so much about the strength I have within in the past few weeks, that I can't even begin to explain it. I am constantly counting my blessings. It could have been worse, but it wasn't... and I think that's what is getting me through.

Wish I could say we have power .... but we don't. We're a bit closer, sure... but the electricians haven't even come out here and started yet... so how close we truly are is unknown. :/

Found out yesterday that I had a chemical pregnancy...I tested on Thursday and got a faint positive and then immediately afterwards I started bleeding heavily. Seriously. It was like Saving Private Ryan. I want to erase yesterday from my memory forever.

Oh my gosh Kayla. I'm happy and sad at the same time for you. I'm happy because now we know it NOT impossible for you to conceive but sad that it was a chemical pregnancy. Sigh. Just try really hard not to stress, its gonna happen I just know it!

HEY... I FOUND US!!

I suppose it would be so much easier for me to keep up to date if I would just get back on facebook :) No time for that kind of stuff yet.

I'm sorry to hear bad news from Frenzy and Kayla.. happy to see good news from Krystle and the honeymoon/ job news I read about Maggie and Karen when I found our old page.

FYI Karen.. I didn't get a message saying you may be in Turkey in Sept/ Oct. Would love to hear about that. I will be there in September as well :)

Fuat's sister is here, and has been for the past month... I love having her around, but suddenly becoming mother to a 13 year old ( and one who doesn't speak much English) has been interesting to say the least :)

A few updates frome me:

1. Health is good though have had some problems they tell me are post-chemo related. Cysts and small surgeries etc. Nothing too serious... have developed fibromialgia as well.. chronic pain is not fun.. but there are drugs for that :)

2. Fuat has a job working in Security and he loves it. He just bought his first car ( 2011 Hybrid Escape). Nice car and he looks great in it:)

3. We're thinking of trying to buy a house, but want to see what happens with my job. I could be transferred back to Ohio.

and... #4. Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of getting approved for our greencard which means.. we file for that 10 year greencard and removal of conditions... in....9 months :):)

Looks like we need to get ready for another rollercoaster ride :)

I know I am not on here very often, but I want to tell you that I really miss talking with all of you and I think about you more often than you realize!

I hope everyone is happy and healthy... and hopefully I will be back on here soon.

I hope everyone is doing good, it's been pretty quiet in here.

Mathew and I are adjusting really well to Indiana. He's doing great at his job and they've already started giving him more responsibilities and are constantly raving about how well he's doing. I'm starting school next week at the community college here in Fort Wayne and I'll be going for Baking and Pastry Arts. I love cooking and baking and I'd love to open up my own shop eventually, maybe even get into doing wedding cakes eventually. Hopefully actually going to school for it doesn't burn me out lol.

Miss you guys. <3

hi guys! so sorry i haven't written...work has been ridiculous and i have been totally nuts working 24/7. BUT that's all over soon! I just gave my notice on friday. I'm leaving my job and going to a travel adventure for 5 of the next 6 months! I've been saving up forever to travel, and now finally we've decided to just go do it. I'm so happy because i've been totally stressed out and burnt out by my job. Now I can do something for me, take some time to explore the world and figure out what i want to do next. miss you all, glad to hear from those that have updated that things seem to be pretty good!
