i just read the entire 6 pages and saw someone said KEEP YOU STUDENT VISA ACTIVE.

how is it done? i've heard that the easiest to get f1 visa is to enroll on an English as Second Language course is that right?

and also will that be enough, because i thought right after finishing the course you will have to get back your own country.

btw, i am a LPR waiting to be eligible for citizenship to petition my girlfriend in the Philippines.

thanks for everyone that is posting in this forum, it already helped me be more knowledgeable by just reading the old posts

your application is still with USCIS and they just received that...(you just got your receipt right) as what ive said, it might take 2-3 years for USCIS to approve your case and will be transfered to NVC for your visa application and thats where its gonna stay until your priority date will be current. you have all your time to go to Canada for your vacation. im roughly estimating, give it about 2-3 years until you'll start submitting documents to NATIONAL VISA CENTER.

nathalya,

i was basing all my answer from my own experience but miraya was saying that they already shorten the process... lets both cross our fingers for this to be faster than before.... lets assume you'll be approved in 4-6 months... then the next thing to do is to wait for NVC to generate case#.

i just wondering how long do i have to wait until my case will shown in USCIS system, 1month after we filed, 2months?? cos i tried many time to check my case, and the system didn't detect my case number. even in the level of acceptance. meanwhile i read in the website, they said: "The acceptance step is typically completed within 2 business days of when the application is received" i start to worried if theres something happen with my case.

dont be nervous.. its not even worth the sleepless nights.

my hubby was being asked 4 very simple questions

1. where is your wife/petitioner working and what position?

2. address of your wife/petitioner?

3. who is your wife living with in this address?

4. when is your wedding anniversary?

VISA APPROVED!
