just wait for NVC to generate a case number... and they will send stuff for you guys to fill up and requirements to submit

but for now, all we can do is to wait.

Iamsleeping === I note that you are in the USA while your LPR husband has filed for you. Is it that you are just visiting? You would not be eligible to obtain a green card while in the USA unless your husband becomes a united states citizen (USC)

Hi ADMIRE, i read your VJ timeline, and wondering, when was your PD become current? was it "2009-06-04: NVC Case No. generated"?? i still confused if my PD become current than NVC start generate my petition or i have wait until my case complete than i have to wait again for my PD become current to get interview scheduled. Pls advise.. thanks.

F1 status is great.. keep it active and you will not have to return to your country to wait / have the interview. you cannot submit the i-485 until your case becomes current. your case was approved 6 months ago yet you have no case number..? check with USCIS to see if the case was transferred to the NVC. If the form was completed and it was not noted that you would interview overseas then there would be no reason to get another case # you just await the case to be current... then you file the i-485 when appropriate.

good.gif just keep your student status active. My brother is likely to apply for F1 status and get here IN the US and attend school until his process is completed in about another year.
