Hi Princess In Love. Congrats on the card! I, like you, went the CR-1 route. I thought that we couldn't send in our citizenship applications during the early 90 day window like K-1s do. I thought that since you must be married to and living with your spouse for 3 years, CR-1 folks have to wait until the actual 3rd anniversary of their POE. Am I missing something?

Hi imaisha, congratulation for your approval! According to the guide of Naturalization it says if you are applying based on 3 years as a Permanent Resident married to a U.S. citizen, you may file for naturalization up to 90 days before you meet the continuous residence requirement.

You can use this calculator to find out the earliest accepted filing date for you, maybe you are eligible to file in June, it depends on the date on your green card

Yes it is Aisha! I'm not very creative with usernames...

And yes I thought we were good to go as well but you must meet all other requirements except the continuous residence requirement to apply early... which means you must be married to and living with the US citizen spouse for the 3 years immediately prior to applying. For us at least that didn't begin until POE

I go back and forth with it but I've found some posts that mention couples being denied (like: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/173636-am-i-eligible-to-apply-90-days-early/) so I think we're just going to wait the full 3 years.

I am in the same situation as you, I was not living with my husband before POE and I think we are still eligible for applying, one of my friends who entered USA months before me and her situation is exactly as mine has just finished her naturalization process and everything was OK for her, anyway I'll apply for citizenship before you, keep track of my timeline and if everything goes well for me then you can apply no need to wait.

This Is JDBY Not doodoo.

I received email/text this morning stating that my card had been mailed to me. So I called uscis to get a tracking number and they told me that one has not been assigned as of yet, because the card has not actually been sent, that it was still in production and I should call back on Friday. These guys don't make anything simple do they?
