Is the estimated date of approval is calculated from the date of the Bio or the date of NOA1? If from the Bio, ours would need to be updated in the spreadsheet to reflect the early walk in date.

Yes, that spreadsheet needs Early Bio date info as I pointed before...

Good job WhidbeyGirl!

But problem is... "Early Bio date" information was removed at some point. So, Tarjeta Verde's "DAYS FROM BIO TO APPROVAL" is "-3"...

question, my wife's GC has expired, how to travel on an expired GC?

My GC has expired just recently... we are currently road tripping... we went to Tijuana, Mexico yesterday (9/22) and we were able to cross the Mexico border and crossed back the US border with my "Extention Letter" painlessly. Just be sure to bring the passport with her and she'll be fine.

Hi, guys, Yesterday I got a mail from USCIS saying that the Removal of my Conditional basis of my Permanent Resident status has been approved. They told me I will get my new green card within 60 days, but today I got another mail again, and guess what? I got my official 10 yrs. green card... Thank you USCIS for the quick processing of my resident status.

Thanks also to all VJ members for your support and help.

Good luck to the rest of July 2011 Filers

Congratulations with the approval. One more step and you're done!

It's based on Bio date.

For some reason I didn't mark the box to let people update their own info. So here's the new link July 2011 ROC Filers

Go ahead and change your Bio Appt date and it will automatically change your estimated approval date.

We went to the Orlando center and had no problem completing an early biometric appointment today!

that must feel nice after the frustration of being forgotten. good for you!

i just noticed on my calendar, october 14th marked in red 'green card expires'. so we will be in extension-letter-land after that. i'll have to mark the calendar for the expiry of that. assuming/hoping we will have 10 year green card in hand by then.

Keep your eye on the ball.

One of my goals has been for my wife to become a citizen. That way there is no need to apply for new green cards and she would be able to more easily travel internationally with a US Passport, etc. She agrees and wants to go for it when she becomes eligible in July 2012. With that said, waiting for the 10 year GC is a bit less frustrating/agonizing (fill in the most appropriate descriptor).

If the new GC arrives by July, fine, and if not we shall force a decision by submitting N-400. Accepting this has brought a serenity.

I submitted my I-751 at the end of June 2011. I received my biometrics appointment letter dated 08/12/2011 in mid-August, and had to setup an info pass to get a I-551 stamp in my passport because they forgot to send me a NOA for a 1-yr extension. I had my biometrics test on 09/09/2011 with ease.

Two weeks ago, I received a I-797E, Notice of Action as a RFE for my I-751. They attached a template list of items without specifying the missing ones, so my husband and I are guessing it's probably the evidence for "joint residency". I just read some of the discussions on this forum, and realized that apparently they pick on couples who don't have kids and/or jointly-owned properties after 2 years of marriage! So, we're one of them and we've been renting the same apartment ever since I arrived.

We've already asked our leasing agency to add my name to the lease, so do we still need to explain why we didn't submit it originally?

There's a bolded line on the RFE that says:

Pursuant to 8 C.F.R. 103.2(b)(11) failure to submit ALL evidence requested at one time may result in the denial of your application.

Since the RFE doesn't specify any particular evidence, and they've enclosed a letter-sized envelope, we're wondering whether we should resend copies of all of the documents that we originally submitted?

My gut feeling tells me that a complete pack of info would help the examiner's assessment, so hopefully it'll be approved faster.

However, this means we'll have to use our own bigger envelope. Is it ok to do so?

It's been a long and frustrating process for me, so any advice will be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you all :)
