hi guys

im trying to be calm getting to understand whats wrong with NVC's ppl?? seriously a week ago we did receive a stupid weird RFE for missing I 864 that we already sent...my husband called them and they said to wait 20 business days..that they already received the the IV package and maybe the mailing room still have the AOS package...

Well today, i checked my email and i found an email " checklist coversheet " stating that they received the I864 but still waiting for the DS230...so whats exactly this??

someone isnt doing his work i guess....

when my hubby called last time they told him that they have received the IV package and there is no missing documents in it...

what should we do now???

call them

or just wait the precious "SIF"

i can smell it...

The NVC has received the requested Affidavit of Support form (I-864) for this case. However, we are

still waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230) and corresponding civil documents for each

traveling applicant to be returned to National Visa Center for review. You will find the DS-230 form

along with complete instructions for submitting the civil documentation required for this case at

www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov under the Applicant Document Processing link.

We urge you to send in the DS-230 form(s) and required civil documentation for each traveling family

member in one package to the National Visa Center (NVC). Sending the information in separately may

cause delays in the processing of the case.

Hang in there... they are probably just taking time to load in the system...give it another week or two...then you will see they have it but always call the AVR for updates...that's the only way you know what's happening at the time...good luck to you...

Yes they told me the same thing...they have them but they haven't loaded into system. They can tell if they have them but not if they are sitting in mail room...it's in the 2nd stage at NVC...first the mail room, then in office somewhere, then loaded....

Hang in there It's going to happen soon! Just keep getting updates.

yea, hang in there. i got the same rfes.... first time it just drove me mad and i called them, was told to wait the 20 days after mailing it. then next time i go the same thing - application etc missing though i knew i had mailed it. so i just ignored that one (was hard to do so and not call them over and over again).

some days later i called th hotline (the automatic voice response) and it said we sent u .... on .... and i thought, really? when the #### did u send or request what? was close to going mad again (as so often during this process) - so i waited for another rfe and 2 days later i was woken up by my hubby in th middle of th night telling me we had an interview appointment - case completed and forwarded to th embassy.

all that was a lil weird, but anyway, i was sooooooooo glad about that.

i dont know what they re doing. i understand the 20 days since they must have loads of mails so it probably takes a while to enter everything into the system.

i believe every time they update sth on ur case, the rfes r created automatically - so once they enter one form and the other one is still missing, they mail it to u.

did u get an rfe on the application too?

or, another option, the affidavit of support is entered into the system before the ds-230, so maybe its sth related to that?

i bet u ll get the SIF soon.

but i could fully understand if u called them and asked since those uncertainties affect everyone a lot. so call em if it makes u feel safer - but if they told u everything was fine with the documents, its probably just a lil chaos in the system and all is fine.

wow i guess your case is just like mine...

i hope to get the SIF sooooooooooooon really really soon...im so excited...

You folks have to understand that we are all circumventing the normal NVS process, so everything is completely out of sync, and you are getting their normal requests as if you were doing everything on their schedule instead of ours which is much faster. Be cool and everything is rally O>

When you use the shortcuts outlined on VJ, you need to expect requests for what you've already sent. This shows the shortcuts are working.

both packages were received by NV on the 2nd and 6 th june

NVC CSR told me I would have had my SIF already if I ddin't miss where my wife lived for 3 months lol.. I never put from 16 to when she went to another school ... 3 months she was still at home
