Many thanks for yr valued input. We are about to file I-485 AOS. Subsequently, I hv just been advised of a job offer overseas, and that will require permanent residence at the overseas location of the potential new job for me and spouse. Should we file I-485 AOS, but then relocate overseas after filing I-485, any thoughts on what sort of situation would result? Initial thoughts are to hold off on filing, but due to uncertainties and other issues, we may have to file before being offered the job overseas.

If you re-locate your permanent residence then your US residency is abandon and any greencard will no longer be valid...

You can hold off till you know, file AOS and understand the fees are not refundable should the job come through

YMMV

Based on your previous posts - you're filing AOS based on a B-visa (now married to a USC). It sounds like you've already began the process. What are your plans (time-frame wise).

**Moving topic from AOS Family-based to Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas where it may be most appropriate.

Yes, a lot will depend on how long the overseas job is for.
