Hi everyone I had some very good news today and wanted to share it with everyone.

I received an email from the consulate today stating that they just mailed packet #3 to my fiancee, and her interview date will be on the 19 April 2007. Yes the date is still quite a long way off, but I am still thankful for this because I know that there are others still waiting. I hope and pray that the interview date could move up like I have seen other VJers interview date has recently. I consider this a blessing from Allah and I pray that others will be blessed also so they too can be with the one they truly love. This forum is great and the people here are too.

Thanks to everyone who has given us guidance so for, we still have a long journey ahead of us so I will continue to pray daily.:thumbs:

Alhamdulilah it's nice to at least have an actual date to look forward to even if it is a little ways off :(

I pray you get a nice little email or letter like JP stating the date has been bumped up to an earlier date! If not then remember that it's Allah's will and it's all in His hands (F)

Will you be lucky enough to get a chance to at least visit her between that time? I haven't seen my husband since we parted in December and began this process. I bet if you at least get to visit her and see her in person it would make the wait a little less horrible... but I can't speak from experience to this sadly

Good for you for getting a date! I saw posted somewhere that they were scheduling july 2007, so I guess that was incorrect. Hopefully that date will move up...we'll be here while you wait

I am wondering how you met a girl in Iraq. Are you military? Its none of my buiness but I am curious.

Congrats on the date!

Thanks for answering. Most of last year my husband was working in Libya and so I know its not so easy or common for a usc to enter (or exit...)...so for us to see each other he had to come out to Egypt too.

Yah I know it's not easy to get a visa to Libya... I'm hoping being married to a native gives me better access in the future :P

Its my understanding that your husband can get you *in* alright, but no visa for that. leaving I guess makes you vulnerable to arrest for being there illegally or whatever. I didn't risk it, so I never found out but I bet it would have been nice.

Congratulations !!:dance::dance: Insha'allah they will move the date sooner... but it's great that you at least have a date set !

Question: is the interview to be held in Amman, or is yours one of the cases that is being moved to Athens ?
