We filed on June 13th, received NOA1 today 6/16/11. sent to VSC. I'm also curious what the times processing are compared to California?

Oh boy, talking about comparison. VSC is way too slow. :bonk: They're taking forever (5-8 months) to process the apps whereas CSC is a lot quicker.

But, who knows, you'll get lucky and get approved a lot faster than usual. :star:

Best of luck...

My wife and I are driving to Jakarta tomorrow to DCF our I-130 on Monday, plus we are registering our son's overseas birth for USC. Our case will be pending for a year, as my wife has a 2-year HRR that doesn't run out until June 27, 2012. We just don't want to deal with the law change on Aug 15 that would require us going through the Chicago lock box. Hopefully it goes as smoothly as the embassy says it will.

Hi ...

Filed June 1

NOA1 June 6

...Checking USCIS site everyday lol with receipt # cause that is all I have.

Awaiting.....how long does NOA2 from VSC take to be received?

I believe that the approval time posted on their site is 5.1 months for VSC. I think it is really difficult to know. From what personal experience I can speak from, I filed an extension of stay for my wife on Jan 12th of this year, and at the time the website said that VSC was taking 4 months for those. Less than 2 months later, we received our approval. That doesn't make me more optimistic about how long the I-130 will take but it tells me that it is hard to really predict.
