We have literally thousands of pictures, we've been together for 6 years!! When I print pics to take to the interview at the consulate what kinds of pictures should I use?? I'm guessing a few pics of us as a couple with each of our families, at holidays, etc would be better than only couples pictures. Any suggestions?

You don't need too many pictures. Focus on MAX 10. Look at ones with family or special events

Good luck

PS..we don't have a joint account as we plan on setting one up in the States. Also my name isn't on our house lease just because they only ever ask for one person to sign it here. Will these things be a problem? I could get my name on the lease somehow if I need to.

That shouldn't be an issue because here in the USA you have to have a SSN in order to do a lot...like bank accounts and leases etc...you have to be here in person so they understand tht....we did however, not that it's much...but we put my husband as Paid on Death onto my checking, saving, and 401k until he comes and then we will add him to the accounts. We sent that information with the i 864 package and he;s taking it as well.

Are pictures really that important if you have been together for 6 years, as wouldn't there be plenty of proof that you are actually in a relationship.

I only ask as my husband and I have been together for 5.5 years, and why we could provide pictures, most are all online, I would have thought that there was plenty of evidence already of the relationship. And to be honest, why there are some, we actually don't have lots of photos of us together in the photo, as it would have been one or the other taking it.

The simple answer is to call your local consulate. We actually had a pre-meeting with the consulate in San Jose, Costa Rica last week, and they just laughed at the idea that so many people showed up with dozens if not hundreds of pictures--half a dozen was more in line with their guidance, but every location is different so stop by or send an email.
