E notification question?

Hey,

Just wondering how long it can take before receiving a text or email with the e notification? i thought i read somewhere that it only takes 24 hours after it is delivered? My wife is a US citizen and i'm on a B1/B2 visa.

After our marriage I sent my I-485,I-130 etc to the chicago PO box overnight on Thursday may 26. The package was signed for at 1:30pm friday. I'm hoping that maybe the public holiday on monday is partly the problem. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Yes I would blame the holiday but give it a few days as it can take up to a week.

It can take up to a month actually, sometimes longer. A lot of people have been waiting a month lately. Just relax

I signed up for e notification but didnt received any but about 20 days after I sent my package I receive a hard copy in the mail so no worries it usually takes up to 30 days

...and I even didn't get any notification regarding the receipt of the AOS package at all, though I had included the form asking for e-mail updates.

Not until my EAD was approved when finally e-mails came in about status changes ....

Don't rely on them too much, your best friend is the mailman who has the hardcopy proof of any status change, decision, appointments etc.

Hi! I sent my AOS package on July 5 by UPS. On July 7 my pack was delivered but still I got no e-mail or text message. Today I called to USCIS customer service and they have checked in their system if the package with documents was accepted recently...unfortunately no there's no acceptance of my AOS package in their system. The reason why I started to worry is that my fiancee visa is expired on July 26....and one more following thing - according to UPS e-mail delivery notification my package was delivered not to 131 S Dearborn St Fl 3, Chicago, Il, 60603 as I wrote down on the package but to 131 S Dearborn St Fl 3, Chicago, Il, 60670 and signed by CHYBA. Is it the problem with delivery?..or should I wait for a while?

Getting delivered is not the same as inspected for information and accepted for initial review. There is nothing you can do but wait. You don't need to worry about your visa expiring. You got married within the 90 days and are actively pursuing the AOS. Good luck.
