YAY! That gives me a little bit of hope, I was approved on 05/17 but have not called this week yet, probably will tomorrow. Do we also get an email from NVC when they receive the petitions?? Did not know that! I will be checking my phone like crazy now :)

i called nvc yesterday. it took me 5 minutes to get a hold of an operator, i was expecting it to be a lot longer, thank god it wasn't that bad. i gave our uscis receipt number. the lady i talked to said that they do not have our case yet on their system, and that i should wait 15 business days. is she serious, 15 BUSINESS DAYS?! that means i need to call back on june 9th or 10th. i don't know, i might just give them a call every otherday until i get our case number.

yes. i did check their automated service yesterday. i will check it again tomorrow...

Try talking to a live person, this morning I called and the AVR said they did not have any record of my case yet, a few hours later I talked to a real person and he said they did receive my petition since the 17th and gave me my case number, etc etc.... dont trust the AVR, might have been a coincidence but I would recommend talking to someone better!
