Congratulations Ray_J way to go! i am right behind you hopefully! Ray_J how did you apply for Serenas CRBA?

Thanks, Tom. By the way, where have you been all this time anyway? Serena's CRBA is pretty much a more straightforward process then what we've had to go through with USCIS/NVC/USEM. Although, you do need to make an appointment online by clicking here. As you might expect, there are a lot of documents that you have to gather. The burden is on the USC to prove paternity if the child is born out of wedlock. I have to prove the existence of a relationship prior to conception, physical presence at time of conception, provide medical records of Amy's pregnancy, a birth certificate on NSO paper, and... a signed affidavit of parentage and support. I've heard horror stories of some cases requiring a DNA test, but there's no doubt Serena is my daughter. They say it can take 2 weeks to get the paperwork, since it comes from Phoenix. I'm also applying for her first passport to make POE easier.

Current Status: Married on March 3, 2012. Preparing for AOS.

01-07-11 Met in person for the first time

04-04-11 I-129F sent via USPS Priority Mail

04-06-11 Delivered to Dallas Lockbox - signed for by J. Arthur

04-08-11 NOA1 sent to me, Check cashed, Case transferred to the California Service Center

04-11-11 Touched, Received e-notification via text message of NOA1 (at 12:30 am?!?!?)

04-15-11 Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail. Notice date 4/8/11.

06-24-11 Touched, Email and text - NOA2 approved in 2 months, 2 weeks, 2 days (77 days total)!!!

07-01-11 NOA2 hardcopy received

07-27-11 NVC receive - FINALLY!

07-29-11 NVC depart to Manila

10-17-11 Medical exam at St. Luke's Medical Center (Day 2)

Thanks for the info Ray-J........as far as where I been? I had many issues..first thing was just when we got approved, Grace found out her Dad had cancer of the Esopheagus(throat Cancer). so they took him to the Hospital in Cebu City.He was very bad, I dont want to ruin someones dinner by telling you the details of it. anyway, her family took him to a public hospital in Cebu city and the family stood by him in shifts because the hospital was understaffed and patients couldnt get individual attention cause so few Nurses.he had his Pancreas and parts of Stomach removed. anyway add to tht i had comp issues so i couldnt come online.add to tht I was out of town for awhile.BUT...........Now he is ok somewhat aftr the Operation. I emailed the USEM and told them about her situation. they gave me an extension for an addtional 4 Mths. thy told me thy routinely revalidate K-1 petitions so they told me rest assured I we are ok. It is no hurry although I want her here now, her dad is what at this time is most important! Now we back on track and she will have her medical and interview soon in the near future. thanks for your concern... keep us in your prayers...I never ever forgot about my unoffical Family...............the May 2011 filers!! lets finish this............GO MAY 2011 FILERS!!!:thumbs:

I have to do CRBA as well, Are you planning on getting a DNA test prior to the CRBA interview just in case the consulate decides DNA is the only way to prove if your daughter is yours? Just curious.
