Awesome news for you Bobby!!! Maybe within a month I will get a similar email, my case was transferred a month after your wife's case. Enjoy the next two years of relatively free worry about immigration!

The Chinese say "good things come in pairs": a second email arrived about 4 hours later that read "On February 6, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. The online status went back 2 places from "Card Production" back to "Decision". Strange :)

Yes, you should be hearing from the USCIS soon :) Now that all the holidays are behind us, no more excuses with Christmas and New Year celebration, not even the Super Bowl, so they should be moving faster now :)

I'll let you know when my wife gets her card :)

Received a third email early this morning at 12:45am regarding I-485 Card Production that read exactly the same as the first email :)

I wonder if we're going to get a "Post Decision Activity" email like we did for her EAD :)

We got the 4th email for my wife's I-485 status in 3 days:

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On February 8, 2012, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

My wife received her Permanent Resident Welcome Letter today! It was mailed from CSC on 2/7/2011.

I thought they do not mail Welcome Letters separate from the green cards anymore, but in our case we got the letter first. Hopefully we'll see her green card in a day or 2 :)

When I received our NOA 1 on 12/1/10, I never would have imagined I'd still be working on stuff in 2012!

Hope everyone is doing well :)

SS Card arrived today! Now I can finally add him to the bank accounts and we can work on the license. I think I'm going to have to send him to driving school because we got pulled over for suspicion of drunk driving last week - he's a weaver :rofl: I told the officer he's just used to driving on the other side of the road with no power steering. The officer asked us if we could practice in parks until he figures it out.

SS Card arrived today! Now I can finally add him to the bank accounts and we can work on the license. I think I'm going to have to send him to driving school because we got pulled over for suspicion of drunk driving last week - he's a weaver :rofl: I told the officer he's just used to driving on the other side of the road with no power steering. The officer asked us if we could practice in parks until he figures it out.

That's funny :D

My wife is learning to drive for the past few months, having never driven in her life ever :) She's getting better with the help of professional instructors and practicing on weekends with me. It scares me to ride with her not having control of the car myself! And she still needs time to get to know the streets. Not having sense of direction makes it worse :)
