I was also wondering how you have your interview date filled in for October already on your timeline?

Did you sign up for email notification?

Well, in our case, Joel had to send back Packet 3 before he got an interview date. Joel was signed up for email notification but the interview date was never sent to him in an email...it was by mail, when he received Packet 4. Not sure how this person can already have an interview date if P3 hasn't been returned yet. But hey...this is just my thoughts.

Yeah, very fishy. How could the consulate receive the petition Wed & already have given him a date by Saturday????

It's not that Luigiman...all I was saying is that the actual interview date isn't given to the beneficiary until Packet 4 is received. That can't happen until Packet 3 is received by the Consulate. Maybe the date your girl gave you is an estimated date of adjudication. No one is saying you should doubt your girl, but I would check with her to find out where she got the date from.

Estimated time and actual time can vary greatly.

Ok my bad :D to tell you the truth i dont understand none of the packet 3 or 4 all i know its that she got the consulates package with all this stuff in it(packet 3/4??) wich gives her directions of doctors they specify to go to for the medical exams, they also say how much she is going to get charge for each service wich its mainly vaccines and xrays, they also ask to bring proof that she has paid 100 dls to some bank and to bring that proof the day of the interview wich is the 19th of october, plus some other stuf they need like my birth cirtificate, pictures of us togueter etc, so to me this means theres no more packets afther this, cause as far as i can understand if all this goes ok then she should have her visa the same day or next day.

That is packet 3. After you submit that packet, she will get another packet (4), which has the interview date in it.

Not all embassies work the same way. For example, the embassy in Algiers sends out packet 3. You call them when have everything done and they give you a date over the phone, which in our case was 6 days laters. Not all embassies use pkt 4.

... if the consulate in Nicaragua does things just like the consulate in the UK. Each consulate has their own process--not all do it the same way.
