California USCIS received our I-129F on Nov. 12th, 2010 and we have not heard a single word. It will be 6 months this week and no RFE or anything.

Anybody else out there in this similar situation?

Have you tried contacting them yet? I would at this point. And if they don't want to help you out, it might be time to get your congressman involved. At 6 months that becomes an option.

We wish you both the best.

We filed in August 2010 and did not hear anything until they sent an RFE on February 10, 2011. Not a word. the RFE was strage too because they wanted evidence that we met in person in late August, when we were filing based on dates that we met in May 2010. I used the RFE request to write a detailed letter explaining in detail the three dates we met and after mailing that it, we had everything rolling in 2 week intervals almost.

Just stay strong. Once it moves onto the later stages it should go much faster! Keep your head up - and keep talking to each other every day. Remind yourself why you are putting yourself through this heartache.

Ouch that hurts!!! I don't understand why extensive background checks would require 6 more months. I would involve a senator and congressperson.

thx,

Chigs
