I-134 signature not current enough?

Olya has her interview in Moscow in 15 days. In looking through our papers she realized that the I-134 I sent her is dated October 2010. I sent her 2 weeks ago all my latest w-2's, 2010 tax return, current bank statements and pay stubs but forgot to send a new I-134 form along with them. Is the one I signed and took to her last October adequate or do I need to express mail her (for a small fortune!) a newly signed I-134? Thanks for any advice/experience you have with this!

That could be tough.. documents are usually considered 'valid' for 6 months.

Any chance you could pop a new one in the post? Should get there in 2 weeks - I hope!

i would not risk an old signature

try to dhl another one over (could get there in a week)

Probably what I will do! Only problem is no DHL office within hundreds of miles. UPS ships there but only to businesses and at a cost of around $150.00! Was hoping I would get some definitive information that it wasn't necessary.

Mine was dated from July in anticipation for a September interview; that had to be rescheduled and was for November. I only sent newer pay stubs. All went OK.

Thanks for the info Phil, that sounds pretty close to our situation. Only problem would be if there is some arbitrary '6-month' rule as somebody suggested elsewhere.

Here is what I think. Scan a copy of your I-134 and email. Then send the original usps or whatever company and if the embassy asks for the original you can say it is in the mail and you can come back if they want it when you get it. Granted if the embassy asks for the original you will have to go back on a different day. Then again you might not need the updated one. Good luck.

11-23-2011 Check cashed.

11-25-2011 Hard copies of NOA1s

12-06-2012 Pui's Brother unexpectly passes away and we make an info pass appointment and receive an emergancy AP so she can return home. Pui leaves for Thailand for 2 weeks.

12-06-2012 Get a text message and email that she received an RFE

12-12-2012 RFE for original birth certificate. I swear we sent it along with a certificate translation of it.

12-20-2012 Pui returns from Thailand.

12-21-2012 We send the RFE back for with original birth certificate along with a new certificate of translation(I had to wait for her to return for her to sign)

12-26-2012 text and email they have received the RFE.

12-29-2012 Appointment for biometrics is 01-23-2012

01-13-2012 AP is approved.

01-23-2012 Biometrics appointment. Later during the evening the text and email saying the EAD is approved.

01-31-2012 EAD/AP combo card arrives.

05-22-2012 Email and text card is in production!
