Since meeting my wife, our communication has been almost exclusively via email and on-line chat. Although I have been to China four times (staying two weeks each time) since we first met, I want to document our correspondence when we are separated. I know that many people have printed out email and chat logs, but those can amount to hundreds and hundreds of pages. I am considering deleting the content of the emails and chat sessions and just showing the date of the exchanges. I reason that would be much like showing a phone log, where the frequency of calls is indicated but not the content. I'm sure someone out there has come up with a clever way to make a good presentation of this without having to print a tome.

Most times you just have to ptint recent messages. They know it alot, and probably have no time to read through pages. I only send about five page emails, mostly recent and those with conversations that clearly shows we dating and have beautiful plans for one another..

K-1 mailed March 10

NOA1- March 14th

NOA1-Hardcopy recieved March 18th

NOA2 August 12th

Waiting for NVC to assign case number!..

How about sending a selection from over the years of your reltaionship?

I can send an e-mail to a total stranger, delete the content and submit it to USCIS as proof of relationship, does that mean I actually have a relationship with this person? Keep your petition easy to approve, especially when the beneficiary is someone from china

good luck

My wife and I have used Yahoo Messenger to talk almost everyday for 3 years. I printed the chat logs, 120 per page, which shows our email addresses, date, time, and minutes we talk each session. I printed chat samples, about 1 or 2 for most months, to show that we can talk easily. The chat samples shows the text, and has both our video pictures. When it comes to China, I think it is important to show that you can talk, and that you do talk very much. good luck.........

For emails I used yahoo. I created folders for different months of our communications. I sent a print out of the page showing all the emails for one month. That clearly shows the date, who it's to/from and a subject. Then I sent one email from each month. While showing email/chat logs are important, I don't think you should over kill it.

If you have yahoo you can change the number of emails displayed per page. So I copied each page put them into note pad then printed out 6 pages for like 400 + emails. It doesn't show the content of each email just that we wrote almost everyday. Now we will give them emails like 1 or 2 a month.

I did as what Shenzhen did, plus a few email samples since we knew each other. We did not frontload them, just brought them to my interview. However VO did not ask for that.

My wife and I are the same. I just took a selection of emails and chat logs from each month to show that there was a constant communication going on. We chat online twice a day just about every day. At last count, the chat logs alone amount to some 5000 pages. I think I sent about 200 pages of chat, email and sms messages. No phone logs since we don't talk on the phone due to the time difference.
