Whats most stunning about these incidents is the lack of meaningful help offered from bystanders, in this case, some of the McDonalds employees seem entertained and the guy shooting camera-phone encourages the assailants to flee before the police come.

I wonder if Obama will get involved. The way he did in MASS when the plice made a mistake about the identifty of a black homeowner...they didn;t beat him into a sizure, but Obama still felt the need to do something about possible racism.

Yeah right. It is like this. I carry a gun and a cell phone with a camera. If this happens in a McDonalds I am in, the video would be of me killing the scavengers doing this to the victim.

The incident was horrific but it appeared several people tried to stop the beating short of getting beaten themselves. The video should aid in prosecution and McDonalds is likely facing a huge lawsuit for only one employee attempting to intervene.

I am also curious if/when 911 was called and if so by whom. If it wasn't the shift manager the victim is going to be very well compensated.

I didn't see any serious threat to the person being beaten. Yes, it was a two or three on one fight, but it wasn't as bad as it looked. The dude standing in between them didn't get hit at all and the old lady walking up to them didn't get hit either. They smacked the "girl" around a bit and kicked her, dragged her by the shirt, but I didn't see anything too threatening.

That "seizure" at the end didn't look like a seizure. It looked more like a "I'm so crazy I'm shaking... stop hitting me."

Prosecution of what? The girls beating the other girl?

McDonalds most likely trains their employees (like every other company out there) to NOT intervene in customer altercations. You can see one of the employees standing between them but he doesn't do much more than that. He's most likely following his training yet still doing what he can to help. In all seriousness, he could probably get fired for doing too much.

There's no legal requirement for anyone to call 9-1-1 at anytime.

What's really disgusting is this sort of thing happens in our society and it's no big deal. Every day something like this happens in the cities and nobody cares until it's on YouTube.

I smell a Lawsuit. But I wonder what lead-up to this. WHY did it start. There is a reason. Now, Attourneys will come in to play. This falls under Assault I. FELONY. There was a meaningful intent to harm beyond a reasonable circumstance and is clearly not self defense by the 2 attacking women. It is the responsibility of a establishment to provide reasonable care for patrons when entering a public place. There is more to this story why this happened but the video is quit clear. Myself, I would not have watched this and got involved in a peaceful and/or aggressive manner depending on the outcome of my involvement. I hate to see people hurt eachother.

You obviously don't live in an urban area. If you did, you see this kind of thing more often and realize your involvement doesn't help at all and only puts you in jeopardy of legal trouble.

And where's the felony assault there? I didn't see it. I saw a girl smacking around another girl, kicking her a little bit and another woman dragging the girl by her shirt.

Oh... maybe you're talking about a hate crime!
