I'm a US citizen and currently serving in US Military. I filed I-130 to Frankfurt Consulate office for my wife about 4 months ago and they said it was approved after 3 months. After 15 days, my wife filed all the immigration form for green card i.e. I-485, I-765 and I-131 and sent it to Chicago Office about a month ago but still she hasn't got any response from immigration. I know I got receipt of money order from Frankfurt Consulate General Office within 15 days. She made money order for all the documents but she hasn't got anything yet. How long does it actually take to get response from the immigration? And what kind of documents immigration sends to notify before she gets her green card?

I am not sure I understand- you are US military currently in Germany and thus filed directly at the US embassy there (= DCF). Why did your wife send stuff to Chicago? Is she currently in the USA?

if she is in USA, then must file to USA, including the I-485

IF she's in Germany with you - then the US Consulate is waiting for the DS-230 package, as you've filed a DCF'd I-130.

Where is she? Location is important, for 'what's next'.

*** moving to IR-1/CR-1 forum, for now - might move later once he identifies WHERE she is (DCF vs Adjustment of Status) ***

My wife is in the states right now and I finally got the I-171 from US embassy in Germany. Now all of the documents are ready to be sent except one i.e. my financial statement that shows my income which unfortunately is $100 less than the poverty level. This is because I was single up to last year and I got married at the end of the year. Now I earn more than I used to. The problem is my last tax return shows only the income that I used to earn when I was single. How do I settle this problem? I have already included my paystub but is that enough to show that I earning more or do I need other kinds of documents that states my income has changed?

Considering you are military, the CO will understand your salary increases when you are married, but a letter from your CO or paperwork stating your new increased salary will help.
