Ok... I have paid my fees at NVC and am My wife's agent.. Now I am told she must fill out and submit an application for immigrant visa. So I thought I had done that at USCIS level, must be done again??? Also what else needs to go in the package when I send it to NVC in New hampshire?? Just want to make sure I am doing everything correctly.. Maybe I am slow but the next phase seems vague to me. Appreciate any help.. Thanks and good luck to all.. Jimu07

You did NOT apply for a visa with USCIS.

YOU sent a petition.

Your wife must apply for the visa.

Hey - welcome to VJ !

You've got a ton more paperwork and processing ahead of you.

Here's the general stuff:

DS-230 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

I-864 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3730.html

General NVC stuff - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

and since yer homed for an interview in Guangzhou, yer lass qualifies to participate in NVC Electronic Processing -

see NVC EP - http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing

and you'll probably want to get some speed, at the online payment portal - see http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467

The guide mentioned in post #3 is a great starting point, just remember that China bound petitions can do EP, which shaves off 2 to 5 months of processing time.
