Hello and welcome! Nope, your case is in the loving hands of the California Service Center, and since you have received nothing from them as of yet, you can consider your situation quite normal... Sorry to say...

Hang in there and be patient... CSC eventually gets around to all of its files!

Unless you paid someone to arrange your marriage, you answered correctly about the marriage broker.

Good luck on your journey!

Petitions sent to Texas Service Center are being transferrd to CSC. RFE stands for request for evidence. could be for a number of things. the one you've heard alot about is the one caused by IMBRA. if you used the current I-129f, it has question about marriage broker, you shouldn't have to worry about that RFE.

Thersch,

First and foremost, welcome!

I echo the sentiment that you will need some patience. The good news is that there is probably nothing wrong with your case, it just takes time. The bad news is that it usually takes quite some time to be processed (often more time than what the USCIS says). Keep reading the posts on this site. It will help you to understand the information/issues associated with the visa processes.

In response to your question about touches.... A touch is when some one from USCIS touches your case file in some way. It means nothing other than assurance that your case is being juggled, and is likely not lost. To see touches, create a case portfolio on the following site:

https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

Once you create a portfolio, the date shown next your case number is the date of the last touch.

Cheers, and good luck to you!

Welcome to the waiting club...no need to get alarmed yet. We filed March 6 and no approval yet, but we are hopeful we would get something within this month. And then the next wait is for the Manila interview.

I encourage you to make use of the waiting time to condition yourself to the adjustment of life in the USA, which is so different from life in Philippines...the snow, the culture, the loneliness. I already taught my children to share housechores, let their nanny go, and learned how to drive.

Keep your faith high and pray for strength and approval.

spending time with family and friends is a great way to re-kindle bonds. Dont be afraid to take the challenges of change in lifestyle...no guts, no glory.

In my case, I am physically handicapped with a teen-age daughter in USA and my 3 boys to take care of, and I am not afraid of the adjustment. Just think that the adjustment is a shared effort.

I used to think that I could not survive without a nanny, a maid, and a driver. But now, I am able to cope, with the help of my children and my fiancee.

This time of waiting when you are apart is a time to be strong for each other. Sure there will be anxieties (and my children dont even know if they can spend Christmas in Manila or if they will finish the schoolyear here), but just think that everything that happens, happens for a purpose.

You may call me at *** when you need some reassuring strength or if you need a shoulder to cry on...I'll be here to help you with the waiting anxieties.

Keep praying and He answers in His time.

Welcome and God bless you . Richard&Maria are correct, it's all in His time. We may want things to happen when WE want them to happen, but they will eventually happen when they are SUPPOSED to. May God grant you strength

along the way. (F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
