omg I hope the blonde lady is speedy then.

I had a blonde lady too and got mine back in two days. We filed DCF/at the consulate though so that might have made a difference? I hope yours comes soon! Good Luck!

KarenB-- Oh cool that we were both in on that Monday :) Did you see when Ellen Page came in? Haha, it seems like they put her through the rest of us peons as she got in and out in 15min! I was there for 5 hours :P Yeah, its strange how it does seem so random! I totally wasnt expecting to get mine that soon as everyone else had been reporting an average of at least a week-wait time. I hope yours comes TOMORROW! Good luck!

I got my dhl email!!!!

Yay, congrats on getting your visa.

Quick question here for anyone, when registering for the dhl service is there an option to put in an email address or does the embassy give that info to dhl because i dont remember registering and putting down an email address. Thanks.

Yes, there should have been a line when signing up for DHL that asked for your email address. That's how DHL will know where to send the email with the waybill number. Sign on and go to the applicant information part. You should be able to edit it.

True Saylin, this journey of waiting for the passport is nerve wracking and we were unable to sleep through the nights and cannot stop from imagining all crazy things !!

@ KarenB - We were C1 on the day of interview and are still waiting for the DHL email eagerly! Wishing you the very best and hope we get the DHL email soon

@ Shawna - Thanks for your inputs yesterday, we called DOS today and they still have no updates for us - they told us to keep checking next week .. BTW, we had scheduled our travel to 13th July and are getting very nervous. Meanwhile wishing you the very best for your POE

I remember you guys. I was C5 but i think they interviewed me right after you. Is the petitioner a Canadian citizen cuz i am not and i think it takes longer for them to do the required checks before issuing the visa.

Yes, i thuught about booking a flight right after the interview but thought better of it as i know this embassy might be great and fast when it comes to interviews, but they are notoriously slow for sending out visas.

I'm the petitioner and an US citizen however my wife who is the beneficiary is NOT a Canadian Citizen she is a Canadian permanent resident. Does this factor for the time to get the visa?? Getting quite concerned and wish we all get the DHL email soon.

Do you have any estimates on how long this wait can be?

I am also a canadian permanent resident and know that could be a factor as they have to verify all the docs you submitted and if your docs are from a different country it should probably take a little longer but i really cant tell. From other peoples' posts it depends on if the country you come from is high fraud or not.

Thanks Karen!, we just called DOS and were given to understand that they have all the necessary information and our case is in AP. The wait time according to the operator was 4 to 8 weeks . This is a bummer and quite upset now :crying:.BTW,Did you call DOS?

Not sure if India is considered to be in a high fraud country -God this testing period is getting too much to endure!

OMG... what??? 4 to 8 weeks?? Do not even want to think what is the wait time for someone with a work visa in Canada! My visa will expire on August 12th and my interview was June 21st. All I can say is that if they take longer than August 12th to do the AP I have no other choice than to stay in Canada illegally as they have my passport... So be it!!
