@ronnie28 - my date changed when they received my documents but the status won't change until they go through those documents and make a final decision. Hope that helps.

Thanks!

Thanks!

There are two received dates: the date the item arrives at the offsite mail centre for the consulate (which you might know from tracking), and the date it lands on someone's desk at the consulate. Normally there is a touch (date update) on the CEAC site on the date it hits the desk. From that date, it may be up to 6 or 8 weeks or whatever current processing times are to visa issuance, so don't fret if you don't change to ISSUED right away. (It may be quicker, but it may not.)

Hi

I had my interview in Montreal on Dec 12th. The consulate officer gave me a welcome letter but 3 hours after, we have been in AP for proof of relationship. We had all the documents during the interview but the consular officer never ask for it ! :(

We submitted the documents and Canada post delivered the package to destination (Place d'Youville) on friday Dec 16th.

Today, we had an update on the CEAC website. Does that mean that mean that someone is starting to work on our file ? or it's only mean that they scanned it because they received our document ?

Thanks for your help

We were in AP for quite some time, about 8 weeks after they received our additional information. Then the visa was approved and we had it right away. Be patient, Montreal is slowwwwww. Good luck on your journey :)

They requested medical and police record again. Because they didn't look at it soon enough we went past the year mark for the original oath. He went to re-oath, they issued his passport while he was there. I go to pick him up on 01/12/17 after 3 long years of dealing with this. I just know I am soooo happy and relieved to have this done and I wish everyone on here trying to do their immigration the right way the best of luck. Just remember be patient because the government moves at a snails pace and there is really not much more you can do but be patient.
