Present! We've been waiting for our NOA 2 for like more than 6 months already. My classes are over and I'll be graduating from college this coming April. So now I'm just sitting at home gathering stuff for the interview (whenever that would be) and trying to spend as much time as I could with my family and friends.

Oh GOD, thats a lot of waiting. I hope you will get your NOA2 soon or anytime this week. Your case already past in 6 months, they should work on it. But im glad you and your love keeping the patience and holding on. I salute on that. I pray and hope for you NOA2 to arrive.

hey there...sorry to hear about the long wait...i haven't even submitted my petition yet...just trying to clarify one last thing...maybe you can help! my fiance was previously married to a us citizen...she filed for divorce so that she could remarry here in the states...however, philippines does not recognize divorce so what should i do?

Your question was not that clear to me, but I will take a shot at your question anyway.

If your fiance is a USC and he is divorced, that will not be a problem for him to petition the US gov't for a fiancee visa on your behalf.

It is your country that does not grant a 'divorce' but it will be no problem for your divorced fiance (USC) to marry you.

I hope that answers your question.

They should hire more staff to do the reviewing of petition papers to keep us all going. Our American citizen fiances deserve a good service in return of paying their taxes!

Not only that, remember that they also did pay for the processing of the petition itself. It actually would have been fine if they changed the info on their website. It's misleading and have just made us all think that we'll get through the service centers in 5 months.

Oh I know. It's been driving us crazy the past weeks. It's all we could ever think about and how much we're both dying to be together again. Making us wait this long is absolute torture! But all we can do is to wait, wait, and wait some more, because in the end we do know that it's worth it. Thank you and we hope so too! Good luck guys!

I was tempted to bring up the "good taxpayer" card if ever we have to ask help from legislators, but I was told that might not sit well if your congressman or senator is a Democrat :hehe: Might sound like you're a Republican with a beef against taxes.

True that!!! Those taxes are expensive. Shocks me everytime when I find out how much their taxes are :bonk::o

Not only that, remember that they also did pay for the processing of the petition itself.

Taxpayers? Taxes? Democrats? Republicans? What in the world are you guys talking about?

The USCIS is funded almost entirely by the fees from processing petitions.

:ot2:

Waiting is h*ll.
