Hi I'm new to the site and new to the K1 visa process. I wanted to ask a few questions which have probably already been asked and might seem somewhat "stupid."

1. I live in Arizona (going to school at ASU), but I'm not a resident (raised in WA state). So where do I file.

2. Does my fiance need to sign and date the G-325A forms, or can I do that for her? Also, I'm trying to fill them out on my computer(it's a mac), but I'm only able to fill out the 1st page. Should I just fill the other pages out with a pen? Does it make a difference???

3. I want to show proof of a relationship. I've got plenty of pictures and I've met a number of times with my fiance(she's Brazilian) since 2004. I wanted to send some printed emails with the packet, but they're all in Portuguese. Should I send them or would they be totally worthless?

These are all the questions I can think of right now, but I'm sure there'll be more. Any help provided will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

Since you live in Arizona, you file directly with the California Service Center.

2. Does my fiance need to sign and date the G-325A forms, or can I do that for her? Also, I'm trying to fill them out on my computer(it's a mac), but I'm only able to fill out the 1st page. Should I just fill the other pages out with a pen? Does it make a difference???

You can fill them out, but she must sign all four (4) copies. Use Adobe Acrobat for the forms. When you print, you get all four (4).

Evidence should include: passport stamps, Airline tickets and boarding pass stubs, hotel receipts and so forth. Photos are secondary evidence.

Good Luck Matt!!!

What Will said, although you don't need proof of relationship... only proof that you have met in person within the last two years. The emails are not necessary at this point.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Complete one page of the G-325 on your PC, then photocopy that page 3 times (you should then have four identical copies) ...... have her sign and date EACH copy (signatures cannot be photocopied).

Same applies for YOUR G-325.

I wouldn't do that. The footers on each page are different.

Besides... fill out the first page online only... when you print, it will print 4 copies.

You file at the service center that services your home residence WA state but It still is CSC.

The emails in Portuguese is fine by them it shows that you converse often and share a common language, they are not much into the content of the email. I sent them the list of emails exchange between me and my fiance, over 400 items listed and some sample messages.

You will find excelent instructions on this site, just read the guides and look at the sample forms. I especially like the tips about how to package and assemble the I-129F package.

Doesn't prove you actually traveled, does it? Photo copies of passport pages are better.

And, evidence submitted in a foreign language should be translated, per the form instructions.

Where you live, is where you live. I can claim 4 permanent US residences. At the end of the day, it is where you currently live. Not where you lived before.

I suspect you should file as a WA reisdent if your permanent residence and mailing address is in WA.

Correct, if your residency is WA then you send your application to Nebraska...

Good luck!

Sorry, that is incorrect. You file from where you live right NOW.

What is "permanent" residence anyway? Where Mom and Dad reside? That is not where the OP is.

You file from where you physically live now, at the time of filing the I-129F.

It is perfectly fine to copy the 1st page 3 times so u don't have to fill the other ones out in pen. The footers really dont matter.
