I received my NOA 1 since 25th of Nov. I've checked my status every single days around a few times a day. But my file hasn't been updated since 3rd of Dec 2010. I haven't heard anything from them or ask me for more doc. My questions to you guys are....

Should I call them or should I wait until next month? cuz that will be exact 5 months of their achieve goal

Will I be contacting by both email and mail if they need more doc?

Is that sound right to you by not getting any updating since Dec???

Thank you for all answer :)

This waiting thing is driving me insane :(

First, can you update your timeline with the right service center?

This will help us in getting you better information.

If your case starts with WAC - your case is at California.

If your case starts with EAC - your case is at Vermont.

It is very common for people not to get any updates/touches.

There are plenty of people who get approved but never see any changes on their status.

However, regardless of which service center you are at (California/Vermont), neither have reached November NOA1s yet. So you have a bit more to wait.

Check my signature and look at the dates of the touches and the approval date. It is normal for them to take that long. Once you reach 5 months from your NOA1 date, call USCIS and ask for a service request and if they tell you they can't than hang up and call again.

edit: ask for service request cause its outside processing time

Thank you for the replied.

I thought if I sent my file to Texas my case would be at Texas??? But thank you for letting me know.

How can you find out either if they reach Nov NOA1s yet??? Because I have no clue :(

This is completely normal. Last touch we got was october 3rd. Some cases never get a touch and get approved with no problem. You still have a month to wait at least depending where you filed.

This is a common misconception.

You sent to the Texas Lockbox facility. Which is a sorting facility.

They process payments and send the cases on to either Vermont or California.

The Lockbox is NOT the Texas Service Center, and it doesn't process any petitions.

Check your case #.

If it's EAC = Vermont, WAC = California.

As for how you can tell, check the Timelines link above.

And then look under Igor's list.

** Reality Check: K-1 Process**

July 22, 2010 - NOA1

**5 months of patient waiting**

December 29, 2011 - call around for information about delay

January 5, 2011 - RFE notice (first online status update yet!)

January 10, 2011 - RFE Hardcopy

January 13, 2011 - RFE Response acknowledged

February 3, 2011 - application sent from NVC to Montreal (aka. the Abyss?)

March 7, 2011 - Packet 3 sent to me

The less updates / touches the better. It probably means, so far your package is squeaky clean and they don't need to do lots of checks on it.

So far so good, hang in there!

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

DS-261 - 05/14/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

It *might* mean that, but really, no one "checks" the package until it's your turn to get to an adjudicator - after the NOA1 is issued, the paperwork is not looked at for completeness or legitimacy or anything related to an approval or denial in the months we spend waiting. It really just sits on a shelf in a box though there is some suspicion a "touch" means the box has been moved. Alas, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason or pattern related to results for cases with either lots of touches or no touches at all.
