My wife (USC) just got today her 3rd parking ticket in 3 weeks, this time including a tow away. because she was at work and didn't have her credit card with her, I was the one going to the car return to get the car back, and paid the huge amount of $430 for the tow truck plus $ 75 for the parking ticket itself. Now, I have NEVER gotten a ticket, but our car is under both names, therefore my record is obviously not clean, plus the invoice I received today shows my name, and they scanned my DL to return the car.

Apart from taking the car keys away from her and being extremely pissed off, will I ever have to disclose any of these parking violations to the USCIS, should I have my wife write an affidavit that SHE got all the tickets, and/or what else? In other words, can I get in trouble for this?

ahhhh no.. it's a parking ticket , non moving violation. 3 tickets in 3 weeks. .. hmm maybe she needs to stop driving or go over the DL handbook once more.... OR JUST pay the fee the 4th time.. since the economy is a bit tough and every company needs help. <div><br></div><div> Non of USCIS's business.

thanks for the reassuring answer. but will I ever have to disclose that this time I paid 430 + 75 which is more than 500 for something I didn't do?

Seconding Ricardo's response--parking tickets don't need to be disclosed (but moving violations do--rather complicated) to USCIS.

$430 for tow-truck fee--how did they come up with that figure (I've seen $125 ones in DC-area)?

It's a private company, they are free to determine their rates as they see fit. Many cities in California have contracts with a tow company that they tow cited cars for them. If you don't pay your parking tickets however, a simple parking infraction can be elevated.

Non moving and should not hurt even your license but only the pocket book. Why even disclose a moving violation to the Feds? They do ask if you have ever been arrested for sure but how does anyone think that even a moving violation ticket should be explained? Now if you get tickets and do not pay them and they arrest you for them then yes you need to disclose.
