I think uscis is doing racial profiling. If you take a close look at the april and may filers who have not got approved, you will find out that many of them are from china. I guess what uscis does is

Thanks! I might as well do that. I will try earlier than what either of us was scheduled though. Just want this to be over with. :lol: Did anyone had any issues walking-in for Biometrics?

Thank you Gabby71. It did work. They told me we will get a "service request" since it has been more than 30 days since our NOA receipt date.

I called two weeks ago and they told me it was normal to wait this amount of time and that I should hear something in 30 days but I was a little distracted when I was on the phone to them as we were driving our meowing cats to the vet lol, so I called back on wednesday to verify what I had been told. An immigration officer said they generated a letter for me on may 31st explaining the situation, hopefully that will arrive soon! Other people who called got an email sent to them, did they take details so they could email you?

The person i spoke to took lots of details off me including e-mail address, i never got an email, but my Bio letter was dated the day i called. do you have an account on the USCIS site? if so do you have the email and text boxes ticked?

Neither of the immigration officers I spoke with took any information from me, she just asked me to verify my address. I don't understand why everyone else got to give their email addresses? I do have an account with USCIS but my receipt number doesn't work, I think I have to wait for the biometrics letter and the new receipt number for that to work?

Thanks, I hope I hear something soon too, I'm getting a little impatient now! Typical 'Louisiana Fast' speed lol :bonk:

Thats correct, the NOA1 number will not work, the reason i asked about the USCIS account was because that has your email and text info saved if you had input it, i am sure that when i was talking to them on the phone, once i gave them my A# they had my info infront of them and all i was doing was confirming it.

Got a letter today in the mail saying "the FBI was unable to process your fingerprint card. In order for USCIS to continue processing your application, it will be necessary to have your fingerprints re-taken."

Have to go back downtown on the 6/23... not happy. Did that ever happened to anyone before?? I don't know what they will do, since the guy tried it for 20 minutes last time to get some prints and failed. Why can't they just take the prints I gave them 2 years ago when they did the AOS?? Ugh!

Went to AOS office and did biometrics..in and out within 10 mins.

I haven't got anything yet either! It's pretty frustrating isn't it? It's been a few more days for me since I received the NOA1 in the mail. I called them on 05/23 and I got a letter today telling me that they have 60 days from 05/31 (the date on the letter) to respond to me. Everyone else who called USCIS got an email for some reason. I am assuming they only give appointments one month at a time so it is probably not going to be this month for me. :( I would call and see what they tell you. Good luck, let us know what they say. :)

I received a follow up to my call in the mail yesterday (no idea why they didn't email me) saying that my case is "in suspense" until I get biometrics done (obviously) and included a copy of the biometrics letter I had already received.

I guess it was just coincidence that the biometrics letter was dated the same day I called them.

To those who haven't received anything yet: it must be that they're so backed up at Vermont that it's taking a lot longer than normal to schedule biometric appointments. Not that it helps, but it's happening to most of us so you can feel calmer knowing it's not just you. Call them if you feel uneasy about waiting, but otherwise just have some extra patience and the appointment letter will come when it's ready.

Personally I think whoever is in charge at Vermont needs a kick up the butt. They should transfer some cases to California if they're that backed up at Vermont.

N-400 timeline

2014-08-25: N-400 sent

2014-08-27: N-400 delivered

2014-08-29: NOA1 issued

2014-09-02: Acceptance text and email received

2014-09-05: Biometric appointment notice issued

2014-09-06: NOA1 received

2014-09-13: Biometric appointment notice received
