This will be a great trend to see begin if it happens. Let's hope both countries can agree to lift the visa requirements for tourists. :thumbs:

Wow! That would be great! Would they come in on a visa waiver program like some of the other countries or just no documentation required?

I think its a great idea and makes sense with the new "economic" partnership. I hope it happens so that it will be easier to have our family visit us in the US too and vice versa... fingers crossed!

Met in 2006 in person for the first time!
July 2008 - Relationship is official (3-4 visits per year from 1 week to 2 months at a time)
August 2010 - He proposed! Contemplate living/marrying in Brazil or US

Wouldn't expect too much - Poland had same hopes when Obama came few weeks ago - he did indeed show the letter he sent to Congress that he recommends Poland joining VWP, but believe this is all he really can do... So chances are it will happen, just probably not exactly when he'll visit you...

yea at this time with the economy condition it would be very difficult to add Brazil in VWP for him.

It would be sucide call for him, something like this could get him lot of negative PR and harmful for re-election.

I would not expect much.
