I think many of you know my position. Everybody has a right as well as a responsibility to your fiance to use every possible tactic to get that K-1 as soon as possible, no matter how fast it would otherwise go. If you can make it go faster, do it.

Your fiance is the person you will wake up next to every day for the rest of your life. So worry about him or her, not about the rest of us. We're big people and we can take care of ourselves.

I just read on here where the petitioner died 2 weeks after his fiance arrived here. I am being delayed for no good reason. I knew going it was going to be a long battle, I also told my wife to prepare for a long journey. That gentleman complaining about waiting he's been in less than 2 months is clueless. The 1st petition I filed took 8 months for her to get her interview in 06. It was still sitting there 15 months later. She lost interest and so did I. Now I am being punished for past filings (SINS) LOL. 13 months later still waiting for the petition to leave the NVC. I even switched countries so to prove no ties to anyone! PATHETIC INDEED!

Thanks. yes, nine pages of color photos with locations and dates. no receipts for gifts, but there were many. I've no question my package will breeze thru manila. i just want it out of the US now.

As for my relationship, it's not for anyone to judge. You who have been online dating for 4-5 years, great. You know the person better or feel more in touch or you enjoy an extended online experience. Whatever. I knew instantly when I met her that this was my mate for life. Please don't judge relationships based on time. This is also something i won't have to deal with on my anonymous account.

last post - good luck

Hello, Sorry to hear that you are harassed due to your NOA2 easy approval. I just want you to know that there is no reason to hurry NVC right now... Manila Embassy is moving to a new office this week and not accepting consular services... the whole March is full already and they haven't open April schedule yet... Recent NOA2 approval are not even forwarded yet by NVC to Manila, so I think when you will hear from the NVC, it will just be the "perfect time".

Back to the original question about "additional processing", some are randomly selected for additional processing at the NVC which could delay the transfer of your case to your consulate by several weeks. In our case we were delayed 50 days. It was very frustrating at the time but really seems like no big deal at all now. Just think long term - keep your eye on the prize and eventually you will have the rest of your life to be together with your loved one.

Actually, NOA2 approval are still being forwarded to Manila. My NOA2 came from CSC dated Feb 16. It was sent from NVC on March 1 and arrived in Manila March 4. And also there are 2 people here with timelines that have K1 interviews in April.

That is utterly obscene. It is no better than randomly selecting people off the street and throwing them in jail for 50 days. That is something you might expect from Mommar Gadhafi.

Not sure why you felt the need to make this a public issue if you want to delete your account.

I also am not sure how you're surprised by the reaction in this thread. Your NOA2, I believe, was approved in less than a month? And you're complaining about waiting a few weeks at NVC. Meanwhile, this forum is full of people waiting 5-6-7 months for their NOA2. Common sense says a thread like this wouldn't go well.

They guy asked a question. He wasn't complaining.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

Sorry but that's a terribly ridiculous analogy.

What's ridiculous about it? In this country, we have something the USCIS seems to never have heard of. It's called The Bill of Rights. One of those rights is to be free from unreasonable search and seizure. So why should the Gestapo wannabees at USCIS be exempt from The Bill of Rights and seize your life for 50 days just because they feel like it? What happened to probable cause before you can be searched and seized? Oh yeah, that's right, I forgot! USCIS is above the law. They are a petty little empire unto themselves. How silly of me to think that The Bill of Rights actually applies to them!

Back in 2004, as much as I hated President Bush, there was one thing about him I never appreciated until now: He had the whole immigration process running like a well oiled machine. You got your NOA2 in 30 days (you read that right: 30 DAYS). You got your embassy interview 30 days after NVC sent it to the embassy. And you got your K-1 four days later. There was none of the abject incompetence you see now, none of the boldfaced lies, and none of the SS tactics like "additional administrative processing".

What President Bush accomplished with immigration should be the law: Issue the NOA2 in 30 days, or it gets issued by default. If they have a case for immigration fraud, make that case within 90 days or issue the damn visa and stop spouting all this ridiculous horse hockey about how they are protecting America from terrorists while thousands of illegal aliens invade our Southern border every day and they do nothing to repel the invasion.

What I wrote in my signature about how we have fewer rights than do criminals is something I truly believe. Criminals have The Bill of Rights to protect them. We, people who respect the law and want to obey it instead of sneaking our fiances into Arizona or Texas like 30 million people did with ease, are instead at the mercy of a bunch of incompetent Nazi wannabees.

The USCIS is a pathetic joke, a black mark on the greatness of our country, and the laughing stock of the entire world. Nowhere else in the history of human civilization has there been such a total and complete abject failure like USCIS.

It's very irritating. I have so little patience. I'm not going to let this last 4 weeks and then call my senator. I want to call my senator now, but I'll wait one week, then I'm phoning my Senator and Congressman and the NVC everyday, even if they just tell me the same thing. I'll be on the radar everyday. And I'll make sure each phone call lasts over 10 minutes even if we only speak about what we ate for breakfast.

Sounds like a complaint to me. To each their own.

Nowhere else in the history of human civilization has there been such a total and complete abject failure like USCIS.

Ok, Al, even you must know that this is an outrageous and overly dramatic statement.

I phoned the NVC to try to discover the date they might be forwarding the case onto the foreign embassy. The agent on the phone said that my case is undergoing "additional processes" at NVC. I imagine someone here has also been told this before and I'm wondering what type of delay I might expect as a result. Thanks!

my case was in the nvc for almost 1 year

they just said our case was in process

in the end was denied our visa ,they are so  grrr cant say quicly if there is a problem

please go to see in person what happen!! i hope you dont have any problem

That had nothing to do with Bush. Ask any of the thousands of people who filed prior to Feb 2009 who waited as long and longer than you have have for their petition to be approved and who waited LONGER for additional processing at NVC than we currently do now. Then ask those late January filers at CSC who were approved in less than 30 days with OBAMA IN OFFICE how bad our president is ruining immigration. The fact is: The president doesn't give a rat's a$$ about K-1 visas and neither does any president before him. We all realize you're pissed but some of your rants are beyond ridiculous.
