I dont know if this poverty line should be based on his annual income or whatsoever. Frankly speaking, I dont know much about this  . He already gave me his pay stubs and w2 for supporting documents that we will be needing soon and I just wanna know if his annual income of 60k enough to show that he can support me and my son?

It depends entirely on how many people live in his household, as well as how many people he's responsible for (children, other family members, past sponsored immigrants, etc). If it's just him, you, and your son, he needs to make a minimum of $23k-$26k (depending on where you live) - any additional people increase the amount.

Not enough money sorry... tell him to ask his employer for 20% raise so he can sponsor a Visa.... Just kidding :)

Sounds like you guys should be fine unless he has 8 other children living at his home.

M+P gave you good answer and the link for reference. Good luck on your journey and welcome to VJ!

For a household of 4 the minimum income you can have to qualify as a sponsor is $27,937. So yeah you're well in the clear. Verify with the following link. I-864p Poverty Guideline

Summer 2007: Hubby and I met.

January 2008: Engaged.

May 22,2008: Hubby and I got married!

August 2008: I-130 filed.

January 2010: Our son was born.

May 2010: Interview at US Embassy in Barbados. Visa Denied! Eligible for I-601 waiver. Couldn't get a joint sponsor so we had to wait until 2011 when my income tax return documents would reflect my full income.

Feb22,2011: Embassy Received Tax Docs and New AOS!

Feb28,2011: I-601Waiver App Package sent to USCIS Santo Domingo via airmail.

Mar28,2011: USCIS Santo Domingo received Waiver Package.

Jun13,2011: Waiver Approved!

June24,2011:Embassy requested that medical police cert and other docs be updated and sent to schedule final interview for visa! *crosses fingers*

FINAL INTERVIEW SET FOR SEPT. 1ST @ 7:30AM

Hope and Pray!

Thank you for the link. Its just me, him, my son and his son. So we are 4 in his household including him. So an income of 60k annually would be enough right?

Make sure he has all documentation required (tax returns, pay stubs, letter from employer, etc) and you shouldn't have a problem. Good luck!

Unless he has about 8 other kids of his own, it's more than enough.
