Hello VJ fellas

My interview appointment is getting closer. My husband, the petitioner, and I, have gathered most of the documents, however we lack of a couple of them yet.

The appointment letter clearly says we need to take my husband's birth certificate, since he became a USC by naturalization, he never had a birth certificate with himself from his native country, so, are we good if we take his United States Citizenship and passport?

The interview letter also requests a completed medical examination, since we already had these done when we applied for the K1 visa (less than 1 year ago), I count with my Vaccination Sheet and X- ray images a civil surgeon in my home country gave me, but just to play it safe and please, correct me if I am wrong, i must take this vaccination sheet to a civil surgeon around my area to transfer it into an I- 693A, right?

I apologize for the times this has been asked previously, nervousness is getting me and your responses are very well appreciated!

Thanks in advance

As for the medical, since you had your medical in your country less than a year ago, you won't need a whole new medical. If you did not include your DS-3025 or the transcribed vaccinations to an I-693 when you sent your AOS, then that is most likely why they are asking for it. You need to find a civil surgeon in your area and have them transcribe the vaccinations from the DS-3025 to the I-693. You will fill out part 1, the info about you, print the whole form out and take it with you. The civil surgeon is to fill out the vaccination portion only of part 2, and then part 5 and sign off for you. They can also give you any shots you might still be missing to complete your vaccinations.

See this post in another thread from earlier today. It is very helpful for what you are asking and needing: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/298139-civil-surgeon-in-saint-louis-missouri/page__p__4513260#entry4513260

Some of the civil surgeons try and tell you that you need the whole exam and to charge you for that. You don't need that, and shouldn't have to pay for that. You might want to search for the thread here called 'Civil Surgeons that Don't Rip You Off' so you can see if there are any listed for your area. If not, you need to call around to find one that won't overcharge you.

Firstly your husband is NOT the petitioner. He WAS the petitioner for the K1. He is the SPONSOR of YOUR AOS application. You are the "applicant".

His US naturalisation certificate and/or US passport is fine for proof of citizenship.
