I have been waiting patiently to receive NOA2 from VSC. A few minutes ago, I decided to check the status of my case. Here is what I got when I checked online:

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status:

On August 11, 2006, your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received here for processing. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

What does this mean? Does this mean they are processing my case right now or they received it, have filed it, and will process it when they get to it? Has anybody else seen this type of status for their case?

Thank you for your help and GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE. HOPE YOUR LOVED ONES ARE WITH YOU SOON =) :D

Yes the message means it is still NOA1 and is being worked on, if everything is in order and no RFE is sent they should have a notice around 1 month after you sending it in.

Please start a time line so that we all can see where you are on your journey! :time:

Nothing to be mad about. You are on your way, and your petition is at the service center that actually gives service to K-1 petitions...

Hang on, you probably have a mere week or two to wait, perhaps a little more, and you will get your NOA2.

Good luck on your journey!

It looks like VSC has everything it needs to make a decision. They are working on it. Hard to tell how long it will be for sure, but as others have stated the VSC is cranking through cases pretty fast at this point. You will probably get approval soon based on recent activity.

Don't stress too much though. VSC folks have it easy these days. Many people are on the 5+ month mark through CSC, and still counting.

Welcome, and good luck on your journey!

This is a canned message that EVERY ONE of us got. It's neither good nor bad. It simply means they've received your petition. They will process and get back to you "as soon as processing is complete".

Everyone got this message. But seeing as you're going through VSC, it's quite possible that you'll get your results by Sept 11th.

Enjoy your brief wait.

Many of us at CSC will have to wait up to 6 months or longer to get the same reply you'll most likely get in 30 days. :(
