Hey guys, I just received my approval letter dated 11/03/2011. My online case status is still not updated till now. I will be checking the mail!!!! I have to say that I was sweating!!!!

Have an infopass scheduled for the 21st now. Hope they'll give her the stamp she needs to travel and be able to look into her case and find out why its taking so long. The 21st will be 90 days from when we did the interview.

Yesterday got a snail mail letter in response to my previous call to the help center that the GC card was in production, which I assume closes out the call center trouble ticket.

Also yesterday got an email from USCIS saying the approval letter was sent Nov 7 (the card production email was Nov 3 if I recall.)

So now just waiting on snail mail for the GC and the approval letter.

May 7, 2007 -- I-129F K1 sent to NSC

Dec 26, 2007 -- K1 Visa approved.

Sep 16, 2008 -- AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago

Apr 01, 2009 -- Conditional green card arrives.

------

Feb 19, 2011 -- Mailed I-751 Packet to lift conditions

Nov 11, 2011 -- Permanent GC rev'd in mail.

------

Apr 25, 2012 -- Mailed N-400 Naturalization

Aug 16, 2012 -- Citizenship Interview. Approved.

Sep 06, 2012 -- Citizenship Oath.

Well, mostly good news! We got our letter in the mail from the local office saying we had been approved! Coincidentally the approval is dated same day we made the infopass appointment for follow up. Hmmmmmmmm.

There is however something weird about the letter. It says we can expect our green card in 3-6 months. Has anyone seen this before? I don't think I've ever seen a letter saying it would be at least 3 months and up to 6 month after approval before getting the new green card. Seems odd.

Well, mostly good news! We got our letter in the mail from the local office saying we had been approved! Coincidentally the approval is dated same day we made the infopass appointment for follow up. Hmmmmmmmm.

There is however something weird about the letter. It says we can expect our green card in 3-6 months. Has anyone seen this before? I don't think I've ever seen a letter saying it would be at least 3 months and up to 6 month after approval before getting the new green card. Seems odd.

Well, since we were in the same boat (ROC interview) the letter from the local office had an approval date was about 2.5 months before the GC arrived (today!!!) Yay!!!

It took about 3 weeks from the day the infopass lady claimed the local office actually sent the paperwork out until the GC arrived.

May 7, 2007 -- I-129F K1 sent to NSC

Dec 26, 2007 -- K1 Visa approved.

Sep 16, 2008 -- AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago

Apr 01, 2009 -- Conditional green card arrives.

Feb 19, 2011 -- Mailed I-751 Packet to lift conditions

Nov 11, 2011 -- Permanent GC rev'd in mail.

Apr 25, 2012 -- Mailed N-400 Naturalization

Aug 16, 2012 -- Citizenship Interview. Approved.

Sep 06, 2012 -- Citizenship Oath.

I finally received my card today, the letter was dated from 10/18 but there was some trouble with my mail forwarding since the move in July. Apparently it was sent back to Vermont and they mailed it out again (?), but it's all good and I finally have it now.

Thank you all for mental support, I don't know what I would have done without VJ. It sure helped me stay sane lol.

Hello All,

My paper work was submitted on March 14th 2011 and it still says received status. Its been 8 months and i still havent heard anything? Can anyone please let me know if this is normal? I am starting to get concerned

my update yeah actually i received a letter from uscis last month saying they need more evidence that the marriage is in good faith. They said the evidence I submitted was insuffcient. its a shame it took them 8 months to tell me that they need more information and now i am guessing it will take them another 4 months to approve my application making it 1 year for the whole application to be approved and get the 10 year card. :(

aww. an RFE. did you send it back quickly with good supporting evidence that was specifically requested?? if so, i don't necessarily think it will add that much time.
