NOA2 email notice to NOA2 receipt

I received a notice from USCIS on February 18 that my I-129F application was approved and that the NOA2 was mailed on February 18. Today is February 25 and the NOA2 is still not in my mailbox. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the actual NOA2 from the date USCIS sends the email notification? We're getting antsy since it's still not here.

Geez - So it's still a matter of waiting . . . and waiting? I guess "mailed on February 18" means they sent it to some other desk somewhere and now it's sitting in another stack waiting to be mailed. Thanks for responding.

Anyone else have a shorter or longer wait between your NOA2 notification email and actually receiving the NOA2 in the mail?

You'll get it soon. Mine took little over a week, maybe 2 weeks, not really sure. One week after approval I call NVC and made inquiry about my case, they had already received it and was sent to the embassy, and at that time still no NOA2 hardcopy.

You don't need that piece of paper until Adjustment of Status, so why do you sound frozen in the waiting mode? Get on with stuff. There some suggestions of things from me HERE.

Wow - what a great document! I've been obsessing about the wait for the hard copy of the NOA2 because the notification email said to follow the instructions in the NOA2 once received. I don't know what those instructions are but your comprehensive procedures document for London K1s is incredibly well put together and will help a lot. Many many thanks!

Okay - hard copy of NOA2 arrived!

Good! Now begin to call NVC to check if they have processed your petition. Most K1 petitions stay at NVC for only 1-2 weeks before being sent to the beneficiary's consulate. Then, you can begin to call the visa specialist at the Department of State to see if an interview has been scheduled.

Best wishes! (F)

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.
